yes. Though in the end it doesn't solve anything. He or she will most likely be hungry tomorrow, and the day after. and so on. What we really need to do is start changing the system. Acts of generosity are great and all, but they are not enough.

Too many unknowns... If I were single...or even without such little ones in the house...or if I had some different accommodations, I would. But I would not in my particular circumstances.

well, hopefully I would have always treated that friend the best I knew how, so probably not. But I would make sure I spent a great deal more time with that friend if that was what he or she wanted.

If I could afford it, certainly. I have a Kirkegaard here from 1865 in its origianl binding, and illegible gothic letters....
