Does Red Bull contain alcohol?
No, just much much much much much much much much much caffeine. (Enough to be able to say that.) And possibly a little ecstasy.
Have you ever been unable to convince others that you weren't under the influence when you really hadn't had anything?
[edit]: Okay, Bonus question (cause they're more fun to answer than ask, true?) -- Is it abnormal and weird of me to be compelled to respond to every single post it is remotely possible for me to answer whenever I come on here? I feel like blushing when I finish and see the page like filled with my name. :D
q 1. Often :p
q 2. See the "leaving your mark" thread. Your not the only person who's had that compulsion. It will pass, although it did for me at around 250. You're at 606 and going strong
hello hello hello??
is there anybody in there??
just nod if you can hear me...
may i have a question?
:D
Sorry *blushes* *realizes how unmanly blushing is and stops right away*
uhh... What's your favorite painting? (did I ask that a few weeks ago?)
"dry water" - it's a stunner. i like cezannes, actually. and a lot of dutch painters - esp. one guy who's name i think begins with "V" oh now it'll bother me not to remember - anyone?
what is your life's purpose?
Wow! I'll keep that private till I know you a bit better amuse. Good question though!
What made you smile today?
You and Az ;).
Have you ever taken warnings about the possibility that keyboard usage may be harmful seriously?
I began to for a while in 5th grade, watching my piano teacher's hands, but I'm currently undecided on the issue. I've never met anyone with carpal tunnel (sp?), and you'd think there would be a lot by now, seeing how long computers have been in use. I don't really know. I don't take heed of the warnings, anyway.
Did you get a kind of creepy feeling when Admin said 'happy birthday' to Den? :D I mean, I thought it was sweet, but you know, like the sombre figure in the shadows you didn't realize was there, stepping into view: "hi," stepping back into the shadows. No offense, Admin, wherever you are. *talking to the sky* I cracked up though. (And yes, that was all part of the question. :p)
Bah-ha-ha-ha-ha
yes. big bro is watching
How many magazine subscriptions do you have?
Me, none. But I'd get the New Yorker if I had the moolah. My dad gets Scientific American and MacWorld. (We're alllll geeks here. :D)
Why am I unable to shake the urge to ask, "How much wood could a woodchuck chuck?" There, I've done it. ahhhhh satisfying.
i think maybe because you are a compulsive tongue twister sayer person...how should i know, ask your shrink! hehe
how much deeper do you think the ocean would be if there were no sponges in it?
Oh damn em, I've been figthting that exact urge since this thread started :p!
Wow... at first I laughed at that question, but... wow. Thats a damn good point. I think we'd be living in Kevin Cosner's "Waterworld." (I talked to him once at the Ghetti in LA. He doesn't really have gills).
If you could live anywhere for a year, where would it be?
Italy or Paris (predictable but true) or a little country village somewhere (I'm a big city girl normally).
What are you proud of?
1. my brother teaching in Japan
2. me going back to college after 12 years out (left before i was kicked out of the CSU - hated it), and getting an AA with honors, cited on the Ntnl. Dean's List, then being accepted into Temple - very excited about the nursing program here.
what would you do over again if you could?? *feel so nosy :p
Congrats ont eh nursing acceptance. It's a hard job!
Do over because they were good or to rectify things?
1- My childhood and teenage years I'd do again for fun especially certain events.
2- I'd do some things differently in certain relationships if I could go back with the knowledge I have now.
What do you do on Sundays?
The same thing we do everyday, Pinky: try to--...... no, who am I kidding, I sleep late, scan the funnies for Bush-bashing, feel guilty for not reading the news, glue myself down at the computer, peel myself off a few hours later and go back to sleep. :p I tell you, I'm not proud.
I noticed yesterday it was Baddad's birthday, but I forgot to ask: what the hell ever happened to him? Was he around long before I showed up, or was he just a momentary member?
Work on my papers, and I have gazillions of them. I'm such a nerd.
Would you rather be a nerd or a geek?
Hi ajoe. I don't know, I think I'm kind of both. Is a nerd like bookish, and a geek is someone so obsessed with something so obscure or unpopular that he is a social pariah? Yeah, then I'm both. :D
Ooh, I had a good one but I forgot. Oh well. Is high school really the "golden years"? Cuz, they're gone, and they sure as hell weren't golden.
I guess that would depend on which high school you go to and how many times you move around. I loved my first high school but then spent my senior year at a new smaller one, and always felt rather lost.
Do you actually floss your teeth?
Em,
yes you are right, Baddad had a birthday yesterday; But he is in Mexico right now i believe...no one really knows...he just sort of took off one day and went from nice responsible studious guy (mostly) to vagabond traveller. I have known Baddad for years (I spent a summer on his beach in the Okanagan learning about myself) and i hold him directly responsible for me being who i am today....ya hear that MIKE????
anyhow, when he gets near a computer, he will log on and throw us some of his loud, opinionated and brilliant wisdom, then be gone, leaving us wanting more, im sure...wait and see.
and No, there is no connection between the nicks baddad and verybaddmom....i liked his and picked it up years ago, of course, never knowing that we would end up on the same forum.
oh and yes of course i floss my teeth (refer to opening post in malfunction thread)
would you get your teeth pulled and get fitted for dentures if they were giving you trouble? even if you were still really young?
LoL that's weird and a half. I love it.Quote:

Gahh! No talk about getting teeth pulled. :( *squelches sore wisdom tooth* I feel like there's always Jaws music playing, because I don't even know when my appointment is. *wahhh*
But I wouldn't get dentures. They have a thing they can do now where they surgically replace one or more teeth with an exact porcelain replica. If my teeth got really bad, I might do that. Fortunately, I've inherited a pretty decent pair of chompers from the Cherokee side of the family. Maybe a kind of consolation for inheriting those damn bat-shaped ears from the Irish one. *makes sure hair is covering ears*
Do you count weird things like tiles on the ceiling and how many steps it takes to get from the street to your door?
There are about 1600 acoustic tiles on the ceiling of my schools auditorium, and about 25 light panels in the classroom I am currently in.Quote:

What are you listening to right now?
My runny nose.
How many times a year do you get sick?
Ohh, poor ajoe!:( I can totally sypathize! When I get sick depends on when I get stressed. I was sick twice in December, once for exams and again when I spent Christmas for the first time with my in-laws. Then I got sick at the end of January becuase I tried to take too many classes! I'm very surprised that my paper didn't make me sick!
What are some home remedies that you use when your sick?
I don't get sick, so I don't know, but I always recomend holding your thumb in your ear until your ailment goes away. No one I've prescribed it for has done it long enough for it to actually work though.
Do you listen to music when you read?
I don't know HOW people can listen to music while they read ... woah, it's overload to me, even classical music reeeeally quiet. Nope no way.
Have you ever started to write your own biography?
In my head, several times, but never on hard copy.
Have you ever started to write a novel? Have you ever finished one?
Yes, and not even close...
Where is the next place you'd like to travel to?
I've done almost all of Europe, but I've never been to Florence or Rome. Those are both high on my list, but my girlfriend really wants to go to Spain, Paris, and Scotland. So those are probably the ones that We'll hit next year. Maybe not all of them.
How do you cope with stress?
I chase around seagulls and terrorize raccoons in the middle of the night. (I live in a weird place.)
Had you picked up all the pennies you've ever found, how much richer you would have been?
Not that much, when I was little my mom beat the crap out of me for picking up a penny off the ground in a parking lot and throwing it. "How dare I discard a penny, I might be looking for that penny one day" Now I have a rather large jug of pennies sitting at home.
Are pennies obsolete by today's standards?
Yep, I religiously leave ‘em on the cash register for the next person.
Why is it that some people (me included) get excited and feel it necessary to order that item on the menu labeled, “A Burrito as Big as Your Head”?
(“Uhh, I have no earthly idea.” Would be a valid answer)
Uhh, I have no earthly idea.
Is gift wrapping important?
This being my 666th post, I feel obliged to make my answer evil somehow. But I can't think of how, so I have to say... YES I hate just getting handed something, "here's your present." Being given something *pretty* is half the fun. I spend soooo much time wrapping presents.
Does the chair you're sitting in right now go swivel swivel? Does it go up and down? I love swivel chairs. Especially the kinds in offices that look like real big cushy chairs. :D
Oh! I got a lovely ergonomic plush black leather deskchair for my birthday! Yes it goes up and down, swivels AND tilts with padded armrests! Oh gawd I'm spoiled :p :D
Do you work part-time while you go to school?
No.
Oliver Twist or David Copperfield?
Um... can't remember anything about Copperfield. So.. Nicholas Nickelby. Dickens urchins are all created pretty much equal, aren't they?
What is the last decision you hope to make in life? (Not the last one you'd want to make; the one you want to make last.)
to smile
