*gets very excited for a moment*
That is an interview i would like to read alright! Find out the source of all that talent!
i didnt realise that you have to niminate someone( or scarily yourself!)
The next victim is KOA! I will be conducting the interview so please send me questions before the 12th of may :D
Bah, the next person is determined for the coming 10 or so interviews. After that, well, nominations nominations, but for now, I think no more nominations until the shortlist is down to less then five people.
:D I thought I wasn't even on the list since I haven't been around that much...
And now you reminded me that there are nominations, so people actually cared about nominating me? That's cool!
I love to answer questions :D (well at least when I know the answer to them )
cant wait for your interview Koa!
Woo Kathycf! Sweet interview. It is really cool to learn more about everyone . . . I'm just now doing a research paper comparing S.A.C.D. and Patricia Cornwell! Finished Body Farm last night . . . hoo boy, good stuff. Looking forward to the next interview. Keep up the good work, Amuis and Night.
Hey! Where's my interview?! :D
Pshh Im working on it and I have exams.
Oh, night! Good luck! We can wait. :)
any sign of the interview yet? Hope the exams are going well for you Nightie!
Yeah, just post Koa's interview already. :)
In it is perhaps a bit much to say, but yeah, I'm interested in seeing the ones to members that I sympathise with. I did check yours, even if I didn't say anything. ;)
This one is way overdue, that's why the tiny impatient message. Other than this, I haven't been checking the forum that much.
I'm still waiting for my moment of glory...
I dont know what happened to Nighty, exams are well over in both Unis now as far as I know, I'm almost worried... I am horribly busy myself though, should be studying right now (no not exams) as I don't have much time during the week....
I wonder if the unstickiedness is a message of sorts, or just the normal thing if a sticky has no posts or X views in Y amount of time.
Oh, I was looking for it among the stickies but when I didn't find it there I thought it was my memory failing... Weird weird... I mean if this would stop or even be temporarily delayed, surely there would be an announcement of that? Oh well, I guess I'm destined to remain un-famous ;)
No big mystery guys :D basically yes, too many sticky topics kinda defeat the purpose of sticky topics in the first place. ie: active 'current' topics of note or topics that are important for posters to read and we're trying to draw attention to them. Because Koa's interview might not be posted for a while I'm sure Aimus and or Night will be able to find the topic when they do post it :) hang in there!
That all makes sense and I have no issues with the un-stickiness of the thread; but my question remains....
Can we see a listing of upcoming interviewees so that we don't waste our time and yours with nominating people who are already scheduled to be interviewed?
Yeah, that'd be nice. :)
Wow, I love answering questions. I'd love to get interviewed :blush: Ahaha... hint? (;

Me too!!! Its fun, plus people actually can get to know you and you get to know others! How exciting!! Put me down!!
Interview nominations
It is possible to nominate yourself or anyone else for an interview; however, all interviews are on a voluntary basis and as such it depends on the willingness of the person you have nominated whether it will proceed. Please do not give more than one suggestion at a time. Only the first nomination per member will be considered, so choose carefully who you would like to see interviewed.
The final decision as to who will be interviewed is up to the Lit-Net Town crier board of interviewers.
The Nominations are to be done by PM, so as not to clog up the thread with suggestions and such. Please contact me or Aimus.
What exactly has happened with this. Some of us love this thread. The interviews are fascinating, and Koa is a particularly intersting person. Our patience has run out. :flare: :crash:
I wanted to be an engineer Virgil...Marine Engineer. But my parents thought I was more creative than analytical...which is true. How much math do you have to take...a lot of calculas huh...(:rage: my head with an overload of calculas):)
Everytime I see or hear the name Virgil, I think of my friend Virgil...haha, he is so funny.
Who wants to interview a kunoichi?! Here's pic: http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t...outhinkiam.jpg
Feel the wrath of my ninja power!
That's alright. I'll be patient, too.... I think I'll eventually forget and it'll be such a nice surprise when out of nowhere someone says, "You're going to get asked interview questions now." That will be a happy day...
And I find it amusing speaking of yourself in third person (looks at Koa..) xD;
A lot of math. Three classes of calcuus, differential eqations, and advanced math (or something like that, I forget what it was called). And most of the science and engineering classes involve application of the math. But the funny thing is that as an engineer I hardly do anything mathematical. The math is all worked out; it's a matter of understanding the equations. I don't think I've done any calculus in my actual job. I started out liking math, but I absolutely hated it by the middle of college.
Perhaps you should have tried engineering. Did your parents make the decision for you? It wouldn't have hurt to give it a try. But that's the past now.
Well I still have a chance...I have one more year of Highschool...right now I'm just working out getting into the school of my dreams!! I'm already ahead of the average highschool student in math...not that I am good, but I doubled up courses in math my sophmore year so I could take Calculas my senior year. I'm just keeping my doors open. My parents would support me in anything I wanted to do...they just couldn't see me as an engineer...my dad wants me to be a journalist and my mom wants me to be a translator for the government or a doctor.
Oh you're in high school. I thought you were much older. You should do as your heart desires. Why can't they see you as an engineer? Do you enjoy the science classes? If so then you have it in you to be an engineer. But you just have to buckle down and learn the math. You don't have to like it, but to get through school you'll have to know it. But once out of school, you don't really use it that much in most engineering jobs. So if you can bear it while in school, you can have a good career that you'll enjoy after. I hope that helps.
Well, I've wanted to be three things my entire life: Mad Scientist, Artist, Writer.
I love science and math is enjoyable once I understand it. I think my parents are just worried that I won't enjoy it and then don't quit. See I'm not much of a quitter...I have a summer job that I hate, but won't quit because it is my responsibility, I doubled up math and was struggling the entire year...my counselor and parents wanted me to drop one and take it again next year...I stuck through them and ended up with an A in Geometry and I got cheated out of a B because of my teacher...grrr...I ended up with a 79, but I'm glad I got the experience. I am leaning towards journalism though...but I would still like to give it a try...just to keep everything open to me. Thanks for the advice guys!
