So all my life I would walk backward to seak immortality. Then myself I'd lose in my quest. And after 100,000 years or more I'd regret what I have done wishing that time can go back to change my destiny. That's why, when I thought about it, I said NO.
Would you shut yourself at home all your life if outside is a real danger to you, or life is worth taking the risk of losing it?
-
Yes, I think I'd do just that, in fact I think this is what I'm doing, as I currently only leave the comforts of my room to do things I can't do in my room, which is basically everything except sleep, watch TV, use PC and sit and read etc. So all in all, I leave my room quite a lot... I guess it is all a matter of perspective
Would you be afraid of what might happen even though it doesn't need to happen?
-
So far as fright is a normal thing in our lives, I thing, I'd not be ashamed to say yes.
Wouls you take the risk to save the lives of others making yours in danger?
-
Certainly. I have before and would again. It's something I just seem to do and never think about until later. I've stepped between others and Death on three ocassions at high risk to myself. No brag, I was shaking like a leaf when it was over. I never thought about it at the time. Someone was in deadly danger, that was all I needed to know.
I will pass along Adil's soul-searching question.
-
Absolutely. Somehow, people have begun to see self-sacrifice for the safety of others as a bad thing... I just don't get it. And I'm with Pen. You go with your instinct, and as long as it works out dandy, we can all talk about it afterwards instead. Go ahead and chide me for it later. You're safe and that's that.
Same question!:D (Good one, Adil!)
-
I guess this would depend on who's life it is. Certainly I would be more inclined to do so for a friend than a stanger. But in both instances, I'm sorry to say, I would lean more towards self preservation, because fear looms large in me.
Same question
-
There are definitely people that I would do my darnedest for, but if my morals kicked in, telling me that all human life is valuable, and that anything I can do to preserve it is worth it, then I would take the fall so the other person could see another day. I've had some experiences in my (albiet short) life where I would have traded places with someone that was suffering, just because there was nothing I could do, and it was horrible to feel helpless. I do look up to life-savers, because they are certainly doing the "right" thing, and it's so awesome to see someone that selfless. Fear would be a hard thing to deal with, so I hope that I would find the courage from somewhere inside of me to try and help anyway, even tho I might be scared out of my mind.
Passing on the question from Adil: Would you take the risk to save the lives of others, making yours in danger?
-
Only with some people. I'm very fearful of danger, and to explicitly put yourself in danger seems a very daft thing to do. Selfish I know.
Same question.
"Would you take the risk to save the lives of others, making yours in danger?"
-
Woah, good question. It really makes you think...
I, personally, would take the gamble. Not just because it seems like the "hero's" thing to do, but because if there were so many lives out there, so many souls, would you really think of yourself as a better person compared to all of them combined? And don't forget, its a risk, not self-sacrifice. You're not doomed to die, you just have to make sure they're taken care of first and that they're safe and alive. If the issue ever came up, I would definately take the risk; its well worth it.
Oops almost for got the question. I'll give the next person a choice. Go on and answer adil's question or this. Whatever...
Would you rather be pretty and strong, or ugly and wise?
-
Ugly and wise. There's always the gym and burlap sacks to fit the rest.:D
Same Q.
-
ugly and wise. Pretty and strong is overrated.
Would you rather be on a collapsing bridge or in a collapsing tunnel?
-
I'd rather be on a collapsing bridge so I could run almost in mid air as the tiles fall from under me like in the Will E. Coyote cartoons.
would you rather be a Matematician, an Engineer or a Phycisist? (Career choice day coming soon, sorry)
-
Phycisist- science intrigues me, math's okay, and the only thing I can build is the suspense to one of my stories... and a good ham sandwich.
Would you rather read only one incredibly good book in your life or a million bad ones?
-
If I had the choice of a million bad books, I'd could easily tolerate confining my reading to Ulysses for the rest of my life.
Same question, because I can't think of anything.

Would you rather hibernate, or go through with winter? (from Logos' blog)
