I would re-read a book I thought was horrible with the hope that the book was not actually as horrible as I thought or if it was extraordinarly horrible then that is a feat in itself and well worth my time.;)

I pretty much do that now. Just kidding. Although I'm a government employee, I have to say that I do more than the bare minimum required to earn my paycheck.

Along those lines... Do you expect monetary awards from your job performance or do you regard your paycheck as your award for doing your job?

If im especially good, and if its the type of job that can afford bonuses, i wouldnt feel bad for a little award.

I think my pay cheque is good enough, and for other things (like good performance awards) I dont want money always, some momento will be fine or just something that isnt money.

Only in very extreme circumstances, like mass-murder. And if theres a lot of evidence. For murder i think there should be a mininum of 30 years jail time, sometimes long jail terms can be worse then death.
