thats ok mir! ive only heard it from watching waaaay too many 50s movies/tv shows..*shudders*
and im sure youve heard it before and just havent realized! like...uh...birds and the bees example? at least i think the birds are the girls in that one...
huh no actually the birds and bees are both guys in that one...its about pollination.
~sings song, "I'm A Girl Watcher"...~
It seems rather insulting in a variety of ways to call a woman "broad."
Still doesnt stop me from thinking boys perfumes- sorry clogune smells nicer than girls stuff, although I did find some nice smelling girls stuff yesterday but it was somthing like £35 for 100ml and that was with 20% off.
Sounds an awful lot like a plea for http://www.cosgan.de/images/more/flowers/041.gif http://www.cosgan.de/images/more/flowers/060.gif http://www.cosgan.de/images/more/flowers/045.gif , http://1000smilies.com/muslim.gif! ;)
 Ok, that just added to my list of reasons not to wear perfume.
1) Not neccesary, showers and deoderant enough
2) Too much money for the decent stuff
3) It encourages "pollination" *shudders*
I'm a perfumes addict,Estee Lauder is my favorite. you gotta try Pleasure,I love it.
DT, it looks like I will not be able to post that picture of me as Hobo Bo the clown. I've dug the house over looking for one, I know I have at least three, and I can't find any of them! If I didn't want to find them, they'd be right here on the computer desk! http://www.cosgan.de/images/kao/boese/c025.gif
"bird is also british slang for girl."
I think it's just a (happy) mis-spelling of the old English "burd" which mean a girl.
(Maybe "broad" also has the same derivation, when used to mean girl, or woman)
Oops, sorry gels, not really snooping on your conversations  leaves quietly - stumbles over the mat
Youre perfectly welcome Whfflingpin! We already have so many guys infiltrating this thread anyway. And thank you for the lovely explanation of "bird", i feel a little less offended now :D :p
Perfume...I always wear perfume. I think it is nice when my sweetie notices it. I wear two different perfumes, Maybe Baby by Benefit and Lucky.
No perfume for me for the most part- just water and pheromones... It seems to be working quite well, though...
Im so sorry you couldnt find any Pen!
Poor Pen, in lack of a pic of his clown
It brings a tear to my eye to see his emoticon frown
So i went to dollcreator, in search of a red nose
And cross my fingers he'll like the clown ensemble i chose
For Pen is unlike a clown, despite his once role
He is very funny, many a chuckle he has stole
But clowns are only good for a laugh for a lil while
Where as our Pendragon leaves us forever with a smile
:D

Wow, I came on here to get some coffee - just saw the word and reacted. I need coffee!!! :flare:
Anyway, I always get compliments when I wear Red Door by E Arden. I like Estee Lauder, too. White Linen is nice and Pleasures is lovely, miss tender.
Me too...I have about 35.    Well, I have heard variety is the spice of life...The problem is I like so many different scents, usually people stick to one type of fragrance (green, flowery, musk, spicy ect...) but I like them all. Coco by Chanel and China Rain by Body Time are two of my favorites.
What would be a good type of perfume? i've never really worn it before, or makeup, but they sound sort of fun. :)
btw, Kathy, i like your new avatar!
hehe, I see the perfume discussion has been taken up in here... *how to confuse and old witch in three simple steps* :) you put me off the scent there in the guys thread :)
mir, about make-up, it all depends on a) whether you need to wear it at all and b) your type (complexion, hair colour, eyecolour)
a) is there anything you don't like about your skin, eyes, lips? or something that you like but would like to emphasise?
the perfume discussion is EVERYWHERE.
as for makeup, i really don't know. :) since i've never put it on before, i don't know whether i need it or not, or how it would look! mostly i'm not nuts about my face shape, but i guess i can't change that.
i would post a picture but i can't find any!! recent ones, anyways. the last one i have is from about 2 years ago! :p
I love it, Drama! Beautiful poem and doll. I saved it to my computer. And I do have a doll of me in character that I made, forgot that: http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l1...ane/HoboBo.gif That's as close as it gets! :)
Nice, Pen. The tie definitely matches with your clothes ;) I like your multi-coloured hair..... and the nose is simple wonderful, just like a cherry on the cake...
Thats beautiful! The rainbow hair makes for a great touch :D
I too am a perfume addict and I do like Estee Lauder Pleasures. I knew two people who wore it and both got pregnant so I superstitiously stayed away from it and got Cool Water for women instead. And as it turns out, it wouldn't have mattered because I will probably never have kids anyway. Isn't it funny how life works out?
Well, if you think perfume might lead to pregnacy then why not just wear garlic? :D
You can put these under your shirt:

I feel so alone in my empty perfume cabinet :( Everyone here seems to love smelling excessively sweet....i guess i should attempt to conform and pick some scent up for Christmas.....lucky i have all these reccomendations now.:)
Here is another recommendation for you Drame. Hypnotic Poison by Dior. My boyfriend loves it.
I love the name of it! Hypnotic poison....wow....i hope i dont start mindcontrolling and corrupting random people outside the store :p Thanks Niamh!
its also in a red bottle shaped like an apple. you'll be seducing everyone that walks past!:D
Hey Madhuri did you eventually det to sleep last night or did the tea keep you awake longer?
Hello, all, I finally decided to join the conversation. :) There is English or Earl Grey tea here, though, right? :D
I hardly ever wear perfume, because I never really wear anything that would be appropriate with perfume. I don't go to fancy places and dress up much, but when I do like just a hint of lavender or rose-scented perfume. I detest the overbearing scent of lots of perfume or cologne on people, though.
You dont need to dress up to wear parfume. Avon have this lovely Jasmine oil that smell so nice, and all you have to do is rub it on your skin. very girly and a bit of a classic scent dont you think Lily?
Oh, yes. Jasmine is my third favorite scent.
Would i be completely wrong to assume you were from England?
 No, I'm not from England. Quite the opposite. I live in Southern California, U.S.A., but right now if I took a picture of the sky here you think it was England. (But I love overcast weather, so it's nice.) I do so want to go to England very badly, though.
BTW-I like Lily of the Valley, too. Yardley products are my favorite when it comes to perfumes and all that.
Well i like lily of the valley but not that much that i'd want to wear it.
i like overcast weather as well but unfortunately for me it wont stop raining over here. the country is flooding.
Oh, I'm sorry. I hope everything clears up over there.
well its not really near me. all the flooding is in the west over by mayo. I think we're having forthy days and forthy nights! god damn it!
I would love some cool rain over here! It's 100 farenheit today and very, very dry. Consider yourselves lucky :)
