Hello everybody!I am 21 and I am from Romania so Layla is not my real name, but there is no equivalent in English for my name so i choose this nickname.I am a student at the Faculty of Letters( 2nd year).Up to this moment i studied English and Roumanian literature as well as linguistics (which is certainly more difficult then the literature module). I am also intrested in German literature(esp. Hesse and Th. Mann), French and Russian literature. Apart from reading, I also like to listen to progressive rock. :D

Hi every one, I'm Julie, and thought I'd introduce myself to the bored. I'm a 4th year university student, well entering my 4th year of undergrad. I'm from Southren Ontario Canada. I love to read, and I love to read....anything I guess. I currently have a huge book list of 17 books. And it grew alot bigger now to about 25-30 from being on this site...opps! I just finished reading The Three Musketeers and I'm about to start the man in The Iron Mask.
Hmm what else about me? Love to write, but my spelling is horrible, I've been quoted that I couldn't spell my way out of a paper bag...by an english teacher, so I'll have to work on that.....but other than that just find me, I'm likly lurking around somewhere.

I'm going to be a college graduate in just a few days! I have majored in English, and I plan to continue with a PhD and spend the rest of my life teaching and writing. I found this site because my boyfriend, also a huge dork, spends hours per day on forums for comic books, and I figured that I could have as much fun as he does in my respective area of dorkiness. I love Renaissance literature, especially Shakespeare. I am just about to finish my senior thesis on the Christian aspects of Hamlet's revenge. Anyway, I guess I'll keep this short, but I hope that we'll have lots of great discussion!

I came across this forum while doing some reviewing for my final exams here at the University of the Virgin Islands. I was very, very excited because there are only about 13 English majors here at UVI and most of them don't like to sit around chit chatting about literature...and I kinda do, dork that I am. Anyways, I decided to join and poke about and see what kind of trouble I could get myself into here since it's been a long while since I last appeared on a message board...
I'm blabbering...feel free to shut me up :P
Anyways, I am 20 yrs. old. I was born and raised in Los Angeles, but when my parents divorced my mother decided to take me and my siblings back to her "home," which is St. Thomas in the US Virgin Islands. I finished high school here on St. Thomas and now I have just finished my sophomore year of college here as well. I have a wonderful boyfriend who refuses to leave this island...so I'm probably going to be here for a while...he's just too good to give up :) I am studying to be an English teacher one day, and I hope I'm half as good as some of the Literature teachers I had...
that's all for now...don't wanna overdo my maiden post ;) I hope to have fun getting to know you all, and that I can keep up with what I've seen so far in here!
