Rhymes, rings, rarities or skunks?
Rhymes, rarities, and oddly skunks :)
Poetic devices: onomatopoeia, rhyme, alliteration, or other?
Love poetic devices ingeniously applied but prefer to write verses without rhymes because of the freedom it confers.
Same question?
I love incorporating poetic devices into my poetry. Rhyme for rhyme's sake is something that I struggle with preferring internal rhymes unless playing with certain poetic forms - sonnets for example. Poetic forms are a constraint I like to wrestle with... these last few years I have employed an 'acrostic Golden shovel' poem form, which I find very mischievous, as in a very recent poem :)
Choose a color/colour that best suits you: Reds, blues, greens, other ?
Blue.
Choose a bird:
Parrot, pigeon, robin or other.
Parrot... they're hysterical :)
Quick snack: Banana, string cheese, popcorn, potato chips, other ?
Dry bananas, cheese,cheese balls: https://braziliankitchenabroad.com/b...-cheese-bread/
Books: hard cover, soft cover or e-books?
I love dried banana chips... need to buy some in bulk. Mmmm... The recipe sounds absolutely delicious :) Tapioca flour, I had no idea.
Prefer hard cover. My last 2-books where 50-50: 1-hard cover "The Poetry of Emily Dickinson"/Arcturus Publishing a Christmas gift from my Grandson's family - inspired by his wife who has taken a recent poetry class in college and knows my preferences, and one soft covered "Selected Masterpieces of Polish Poetry"/translated by Jarek Zawadski given to me by a sister from church a few weeks ago... both on this desk with another poetry book, by my friend Stephen Meadows (soft cover), "Winter Work" :) :) :)
Same question re: your last 2-3 selections ?
Tapioca flour is much used for tapioca pancakes. One makes them in 3 minutes without fat and fils them with whatever one wants because the taste is neutral.
I don't have my library any more, because of a mites plague.
One of the last books I got were some copies of Kafka's America, which I translated, in a nice blue hard cover. Also the only book I bought, the most recent poems collection by Adélia Prado, "O Jardim das Oliveiras"(The Olive Garden). It's a soft cover, but not as soft as the pocket books. I don’t know how to post images on Litnet or I would post the two covers.
Electronic devices: Alexa, Smart TV or Smart Watch?
Prefer Alexa smart speakers... I have the Fire TV, and a smart watch (not so smart). My phone has a hands free version of Google Assistant where "Ok Google" allows simple queries, timers, and alarms; it also has a hands on version of Alexa which can access my smart speakers, smart plugs (lights) and simple queries.
Southern Hemisphere Capitals: Caracas, Bogota, Brasilia, or Lima (or other) ?
Sounds a bit complicated so many devices. My TV is still the old punchy turbo model. I feel it strains the eyes less than the LED models.
I know only Brasília and Buenos Aires and I like both.
Favorite state: California, Nevada, Montana or other?
California
Desk accessory most used: White Out, stapler, paperclips, envelope opener, other ?
Stapler and paper clips. l had an envelope opener inherited from my father in the format of a dagger. But one doesn't get envelopes anymore. People use almost only internet communication and the Brazilian post is gone .bankrupt.
Preferred forms of comunication: phone, e-mail, SMS, WhatsApp, other?
I too have a dagger type letter opener, from my Mother, that I should find for the few bills that still get mailed to me.
Text... I hate phone calls, which is only exasperated by my spotty cell service.
Pastels or vibrant colors/colours ?
Vibrant colors! Although since I got old I wear more discreet colors.
Wall colors:all walls the same color or different colored walls in the same room?
