Don't worry - you're right back on form. It was when Costello covered that soporific dirge that I realised he and I had reached a parting of the ways. 2/10
Here's another from my early childhood that has kind of come back to me recently.
Phew... I was seriously getting worried for a minute there...Meh... Did you listen to the lyrics???Quote:
2/10.

Great band, great song. 10/10
(I would have given the same rating to the Dresden Dolls as well, I love that song)
This video has an intro video which lasts about 30 seconds and has nothing to do with the actual song. Kind of funny, though.

Need a bit longer with this. A conditional 5/10.

Too slow for me, though ending gets better. My parents would listen to this.
4/10
I doubt scheherezade would like the next one..

I dislike it...sorry. The words are brutal. 0/10

Well, any song that includes the harmonica scores some points with me. Three points for the harmonica! One point for the rest of the corny song.
4/10
Here's one:

Not bad, kinda like it 7/10
@chrissy Tom Cochrane is like one the worse Canadian music exports, up there with Bryan Adams and Celine Dione. We're sorry world.
@Basil I can't help but think of Shonen Knife after that Deerhoof song haha.

This one sounds amazing! 9.6/10
Don't bother about the 'movie' to it, I never really understood it.. The song sounds better if played very loud:

Edit: Oops I was a bit too late.. So here the other one too:
The English is terrible, but this song is hilarious. 4/10 just for being funny (weirdest video)..
Haha, I guess I'll rate this one too since I got skipped over :p
The Decemberist are alright, I like their videos 7/10 again.
Edit: Haha damn edit function.

Haha now we need another song. I won't post anything anymore, we'd probably double post again, you go ahead, new song.
I liked it 7/10
I'm not a huge Cure fan, but they do have some goodies. . .
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9UWQilEO0ZQ
I used to love The Cure! :)And this is not necessarily one of them! :p 5/10.
How about this?

Good song but depresses me so: 6/10.
(Sixth> I am still trying to locate that obscure song with the great video to download)
Basil's Sugarcubes has reminded me of Sugababes:

8/10 - not too bad.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HQal-lJrSLI
I don't think I can rate that.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FaSnOtb4PD8
Likey! 7/10!
This keeps playing on the radio these days:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rQjh9H-ymK4
There's potential here, but it suffers from excess sheen. 5.5/10.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bm3lWq4s5-U
I have much the same reaction to this as I have to Leonard Cohen - that is, some days, I'd think it a well-crafted tune in the folk tradition supporting intelligent and considered lyrics that avoid the usual tropes. But today I think think the tune's derivative and the lyrics are overegged. 5/10
The Furs - the arrangement has dated, but the tune is still gear.
I like it but you're right about the arrangement. 7/10
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BqzGZ5AaeSs
Edit: It is an English cover of a song from a Yiddish light opera from 1941.
My parents loved that song: 10/10.

Publicly, I'm not a White Stripes fan but it's hard not to view Jack White as a minor genius. 8/10.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1aV0Ka-SSEU
My thoughts about Jack precisely.
I've never heard of The National, but I really liked that - and I don't mean merely somewhat. 9/10
Smart pop for groovy people.
