Facebook... I have an Instagram account that I've never used
Tik Tok or Facebook or other ?
None. Just Forums.
Comunication: Email, WhatsApp or Cellphone?
Email - Yes; WhatsApp - No; Cellphone is my preferred method of communication by text/SMS (I rarely accept phone calls and I keep my voice mail full); Messenger - maybe 1 or 2 times a month.
City transit: Uber, Cab, Bus, or other ?
Usually buses, sometimes the sub.
Nourishment: daily, more proteins, carbs or balanced?
I've been in a submarine (field trip) but never a subway, although B.A.R.T. does go quite a way beneath the S.F. Bay between Oakland and San Francisco... it's not considered a subway..... unless we're talking Subway Sandwiches of course... a rare treat.
Lately more carbs... protein is very expensive, so meat is predominately out except for processed TV type dinners from the "Dollar Tree". I do use a protein shake that has 30 g of protein, but only 12 times in the course of a month (arrived today from Amazon), and of course FHE dinners with a varied pot luck each week... oh, and I have string cheese and other cheeses for quesadillas and my egg omelets and have dinner with my wife twice a week :) I do make sure I have sufficient fruit available: apples and Mandarin-type fruits... and I scored 6-pears from a church friend last night at FHE (thanx Careena) :)
Same question ?
No, I mean an urban subway like there is in New York ( but I never took it). But travelling in a submarine in peace time must be wow.
Urgent vocabulary question: what are "processed TV type dinners" and "FHE dinners"? I hope eggs are cheaper now than they were before.
I ate less protein because of the kidneys but then I started to have one cold after the other so I increased them. I eat a bit of meat or chicken, very rarely fish. I used to eat one fried egg per week, now I eat more and I love milk without lactose and cheese.
Fish or meat?
Oh, I thought you meant S.P. subway. No, no submarine travel... just inside for a quick look-see with the sub sitting at dock in San Francisco.
• YES, finally eggs down to $17.00 USD for 5-dozen at Walmart (bought some yesterday).
• Here's 1 of 2 meals I purchase at Dollar Tree: https://www.dollartree.com/banquet-f...se-8-oz/237667 Zip zap in the microwave :)
• FHE (Family Home Evening) "In the ward where we live now they have something called "Empty Nester's Family Home Evening." Twice a month (we have FHE each Monday night) the older members past raising kids... (empty nesters) (whether married, single, widowed or divorced) all meet together for a pot-luck supper, an evening of visiting and a short uplifting message."... https://mind-muffins.blogspot.com/20...sters-fhe.html Our weekly lessons last an hour after dinner using our "Come, Follow Me" curriculum which is currently studying the "Doctrines and Covenants"; we have 5 or so teachers who rotate - I teach the lesson each 5th Monday when it occurs. We are blessed to have FHE at the same location every week.
USA 60's music: Monkees, Beach Boys, or Paul Revere and the Raiders ?
Anyway, you have been much nearer a submarine trip then I in my whole life. I use the ever expanding SP sub sometimes. These days wagons are often so full!
Someone has to get out so that the new passenger may fit into his/her place.
Glad eggs are buyable again.Dollar Tree food is surprisingly cheap.
FHE- Sounds cosy and favours community bounds.Never heard of the like here. But our YCMA group has activities on Tuesdays and Thursdays with coffee and biscuits. And one uplifting message read at the beginning of the activities.
Sadly, don't remember any of these 60s musicians. No TV at that time, only radio.
Radio Era: music, football, news or...?
Music: KYA, KFRC, KSAN, KLIB... I remember buying a small radio from a comic book/trading card ad; no battery just clip to a piece of conductive metal and it worked somehow. I remember lounging in my army bunk bed (top bunk) listening to Otis Redding singing "(Sittin' on) The Dock of the Bay"... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gLUgPmNHQLA and all that the 60's and 70's had to offer: The Doors, Jefferson Airplane, The Velvet Underground, Janis...
Analog watch or digital watch or smart watch or other ?
Analog watch. Used digital plastic watches for a while when they could be bought cheaply at the street vendors. Loved the fashion of plastic watchbands in several colors.
fresh or frozen cake?
Fresh... German Chocolate cake or Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte... with "Death by Chocolate" ice cream... https://handletheheat.com/death-chocolate-ice-cream/... the brand I buy also has large chocolate chunks added throughout :)
Vax or no vax ?
Looks wonderfully. But what a curious name?
Certainly pro Vax, conveniently tested and approved for use
profilaxis or no profilaxis?
Absolutely yes... hoping I have some semblance of immunity still, what with all the mutable variants that exist... after I get through these board visits I'm going to call and see if I can find a booster shot just in case since I'm due for my regular vax come September/October. Starting to feel less fuzzy headed but the body aches are persisting... some difficulty breathing...
Socks: one color, multicolor, patterned, or none ?
Please try getting into hospital or at least contact a doctor because of these breathing difficulties.
All kind of socks
Monochromatic or patterned sweaters ?
Don't wear sweaters very much anymore... my favorite was a knit made for me by my then Mother-in-law, God rest her, that was mono-colored creamy white, and had a beautiful cable pattern knit within... it disappeared mysteriously circa '95, possibly during our first fire evac here.
Dominos, Yahtzee, Chess, Backgammon, or other ?
