Hi Marijn, Bookseller and Barlo! :) Enjoy yourself here. :D
I'm Iris. I would like to say "hello" to everyone...
would want to say more... but I'm quite lost these days... and can hardly say what I want to say... So, most of the time I find myself silent and randomly engaged in thinking about nothing in particular.
Its only recently that I came across this site.. and I believe its going to be great being a part of it...
I`m already feeling good here...
Welcome mr.Blank Slate! :p (love the username, very creative)
I understand your feeling, we all get a little lost sometimes. LitNet always cheers me up, hopefully you'll find yourself a little more here! :)

 Hello all I have just finished reading George Orwells 1984 and done a google search to read a few discussions on the book and I was lead to this forum.
I mainly read crime (both fact and fiction), thrillers and true storys but I love recommendations and discussions on books.
Welcome all!
Hi everybody!
I love crime too. Mostly true crime. Fascinating stuff.
Welcome everyone, thanks for taking the time to say hello! Take care and keep those pages turning! :)
Hi Everyone,
My name is Erin and I love to read. I won't take up all of your time but I just wanted to stop by and say hi.
hi i am devi. my hobbies are reading books ( mainly fiction), listening to music, playing chess and i love to play piano too.
i hope we have a good time here
Hello, my name is Samantha,
or it's whatever sticks with people, I have so many nick names...
I am not really sure about what to say, except I typed an entire introduction up and then my computer went weird and its gone now. :(
So, to start, I am from all over the east coast or the US, but born in Rhode Island, and now reside in Virginia. However, I am in love with New England, and hope to live there again someday. I am a city chick at heart, but stuck in the middle of nowhere for now. I am young, about to embark on my junior year, and from what I hear, this year could make or break the rest of my life, I hope not.
I stumbled upon this site while google-ing The Scarlet Letter, which I have just finished for a summer reading assignment. I love English, perhaps not the grammer so much, but I do love it overall. I have been in love with reading for as long as I have been able to read. I am not the type to not read a book and go the sparknoted route, but I do need help at times with the underlyng meanings and some of the questions that come up. I have been in Advanced English classes for as long as my school had offered them, which in my school, ( student population about 400, staff about 30) AP classes are few. I am about to begin AP English Lit, and AP US History. Which are the only two AP's offered for jr's.
My reading favorites are all over the place. I enjoy classics, some more then others though, and I will enjoy or find something good about every book I read, except usually the awful books that the girls my age are addicted to (the ones that read at all) such as 'gossip girl'. However, I will admit I am a diehard Harry Potter fan, I will not claim I am one of the best, but I love playing the trivia games, and I went to the midnight magic parties, and I have read all the books atleast ten times a peice. But really, I have so many favorite books. Pride and Prejudice, The Princess Bride, Wuthing Heights, The Giver (from back in the day, haha), To Kill A Mockingbird, Lord of The Flies, The Devil Wears Prada, Running With Scissors, The Poisonwood Bible, 1984. Then I love so many plays and poems!
My last Intro was much better then this... :[
Hmmmm, other things I love are fashion, I can certainly be a material girl at times, I write all the time, Theatre is one of my biggest passions, I have been in all of my school plays since seventh grade, and am auditioning for Goveners School in the fall. In school, I am the year book editor this year, and am so thrilled. I don't really fit in anywhere, but will be friends with anyone, I'm really friendly, but can be verrrrry shy.
I know I wrote more last time, haha. Darn it. This one is probably to long anyway and I have got to get back to my summer work. Thanks for reading this, and I hope I am welcome here even though I am just some highschool kid, ;)
post script: If you meet any spelling errors, I am so sorry, I have never been able to spell....
welcome one and all!
