i had ants in my house last year...i didn't like the fact that i used Grant's ant stakes (which worked), so i put a whole mess of brown sugar outside where they were coming into my place. needless to say, they stopped coming in, and festered around the sugar.
highly non-nutritious, i'm sure. :( but not lethal, either...and it was fascinating to see them work. rather like goldfish watching.
i agree, however. your space is your space (vbm re: food source); if they're violating it, tell them to go, and if they don't then you have the right to clear it.

I'm in England and things are fine, I haven't strangled the guy and I've been tempted to really do that only a few times... :D Now I have 90 minutes of pc time as he's watching the football :D (usually I only check mail cos if I start foruming I'd never stop and it'd be a bit rude... ;)). I've been visiting lots of cool places, Nottingham, Birmingham (I absolutely loved it!!!) and Manchester, I'm enjoying the Englishness, I'm overdosing on junk food... Everything ok at the moment, excpet that in 9 days I'll leave this limbo and be back to life again... Oh well, I'll enjoy what's left of this, and hope I don't get too depressed when my holiday is over :D

Now I'll go and check how things are around here... I don't know if I'll check the forum again while I'm here (might depend on the football lol;)) anyway when I'll be home I'll have a couple of weeks of non-life before I leave again, so you'll fine me here I guess :D

Oh I mean in the mountains Sub, as in being a pack horse for five days and not showering and eating freeze dried meals, and getting attacked my mosquitos, huge biting flies and not seein ganybody else except the people who you went in with, for a week and all of the hiking of course ahs to be up hill. And I call it fun.

that sounds cool...now i'm thinking about going to the beach :)

Thanks :) I tried Tums, but I think it was a remaining symptom of a flu bug I caught last week so I don't know if they would have helped any. Anyway, I think I'm better now (knock on wood).

I've always wondered what that tastes like.

Its rather unique. You definately can't think about regular milk the first time you try it, but it's good. I would drink it all the time if it wasn't so expensive. In fact, I use to. For three bizzare months I was lactose intolerant. I couldn't eat anything if any of the ingredients even touched a dairy product. My stomach would tie up into huge painful knots unless I had taken a Lactaid tablet with my food. Then it suddenly went away! Why?

If I am not mistaken, it is not good for adult cats to drink milk. The reason was something like that they do not have the bacteria that demulsifies lactose. But well, cats were traditionally given milk so it was thought that milk was car's drink, if I am not mistaken.

oh yes..my cat loves all things dairy, but if i give it to him, he walks around the house all day stinking up whatever corner he's in...ewwww

personally i think that human's drinking milk is just wrong. my son drinks soy milk all the time, but i cant even have a glass of milk with cookies. it just makes me feel vampirical (is that a word?? is now!)
i just cant seem to get past its origin, while at the same time i have no problems eating steak. go figure.

I love Milk, there was nothing better than cold pizza with a tall glass of milk. Although as I've gotten older I don't drink it very often. Now, I usually buy Soy Milk.

I'm rather picky about my tea. I only like it hot, I never put sugar in it, but sometimes I use honey if I'm sick, and I only put cream in it if it's plain black tea, otherwise I drink it straight.

tea with milk is something most people here have never heard of and we find it disgusting anyway... tea is generally drunk with lemon here... and i've never really heard of soy milk unless it's diet products or something if you have allergy, but it must be rare and expensive...

It's completely alcohol-free. Just milk and tea and the chewy black ball things (equivalent to jell-o, I think, only you have to chew them longer before you can swallow them). If you ever pass a Lollicup restaurant, you should stop by and try it. For Taiwanese, Lollicup is almost like Starbucks. :D

at least 3 of that chinese things (not that i've read all of them, but most...i'm curious...) are normal italian things... I just got a major fright.
It was a link told in a quite nice forum (I won't give the link here, because I am not that evil) At first, it was two almost identical photographs with a writing : find 3 differences. They were beautyful pictures and I searched and searched, but didn't find.
And then .... suddenly a monster face appeared in the screen and a terrible scream was in the headphones.
If I had had a weak heart, I would have had a heart attack.

What kind of a sick, sick mind does these kinds of things?
