(What's with responding to your own haiku like a million times? Is this turning into a marking thread? Just saying.)
The moment passes
In my heart time is frozen,
Shattered church bells
Shatter the church bells
Pull down its aching arches
Let the earth breathe life.
Emily, don't know what you mean by `marking' thread? but as you can see, this kind of stuff seems to come in fits and starts to me. So I gotta go with it ;)
While I'm afraid to venture beyond a `haiku' format sometimes maybe it would be better when there's such a flow going, but I can't get past thinking that if I try too hard to write some sort of `poem' it won't come out as easily ... if that makes sense to you...
it's been going on for a long time, em. if you backtrack to the beginning, this thread and the word association game have a few spots where people respond to themselves for a number of posts; i sort of figured they were making a point or a journey. the m word came to mind too but that's naughty isn't it! :D
den, what do you think of starting a thread where we try out other forms of japanese verse?
Hey cool! I'd love it amuse... why dontcha start one? I don't know much about all the different types of poetry, if you could just let us know what the `rules' are first and I'm sure I'd give it a try. :D
Do we still get to do this one? I'm not tired of it yet. :D
