yes, seven of nine made a surprise appearance.
at least in the first season, the holograph doctor, and all the other holographs on this particular ship, are programmed to look like the renegade captain picard hires to fly him around the galaxy.
so just to be clear---you like the ones with liam neeson, a young Anakin skywalker and natalie portman best? that's a rarity I bet...I wonder if you read my question backwards?
seemingly no rhyme or reason to hair cuts. less in the winter time, more frequent in the summer. range is anywhere from a 2-3 weeks to probably no more than a couple months. and hah, same with shaving!
Sylvester Stallone as rocky, Rambo, barney ross, or someone else?
Prolly read it wrong; favorite in order: original 3 (4-6), very last three (7-9), and last the prequel (1-3)
I have only seen Stallone as Rocky I believe (who's Barney Ross ? Never mind I'll google... https://www.google.com/search?q="Bar...t=gws-wiz-serp )
Barney Miller or (original) Night Court ?
i suspect there aren't too many people that like chapters 1-3 the best. no chemistry between Anakin and Padme, Samuel l Jackson didn't really make a good jedi, hayden Christiansen is wooden, and jar-jar was a bit much.
so you haven't seen any of expendables?
hard not to cheer for rocky, but I wonder if the best movie all the whole bunch was the last Rambo one.
I recently caught the ending of one of the creed movies where Apollo's son fought drago's son (twice of course!).
between the two I would go with night court. my mother was a fan of barney miller though. oddly enough I don't have a memory of it in re-runs over the past many years.
reese's peanut butter cup or any candy bar from the whole rest of the field?
No Expendables, yes Incredibles :)
Reese's are ok... tend towards Snickers and Milky Way
Smashing Pumpkins or Strawberry Alarm Clock ?
ive only caught snippets of the incredibles. maybe another thing to try...
the expendables movies are kinda fun if you like (or can tolerate) guns and the absurd expenditure of many thousands of rounds of ammunition, kinda like john wick. the ensemble casts are enjoyable.
I only know incense and peppermints so we have to go with strawberry alarm clock.
you are visiting Hollywood, walking down the street and are spied by some movie producer who says "you are perfect for either one of two roles in my upcoming movie! one is the good guy, the other is the bad guy."
do you take the good guy role or the bad guy role?
Haven't seen john wick either but I think I know what you're talking about.
Funny thing, a friend of mine and I were approached to be extras in a movie while we were on a bicycle trip to Yosemite from Newark, CA just before our Junior year in High School... summer of 1970. We were in the central valley by this time, I believe, still on the way, but we had to say no due to time constraints; still wonder what the movie was on occasion... something with a train.
Prolly the good guy... I was a policeman in a play once in grade school, bad experience, so being in a movie would be quite a stretch anyway. As an extra, in the above scenario, it might have been less stressful and even enjoyable being a nameless extra.
Baseball cards or Poker chips ?
maybe for fun someday tailor you can do some internet searching, using all the clues available, locate the movie, watch it, and go "that coulda been me!"
how many days and miles was your trip?
the train movie unstoppable with denzel Washington and chris pine was partially filmed in my neck of the woods, some in the city I grew up in, some in the nearby rural areas. its fun to watch the movie and be able to go "oh, I recognize that!" I met a woman whose mother was the teacher of a local classroom of kids they used as extras in one of the scenes.
I had a great baseball card collection as a kid---sold them all for some quick money, something I regret a bit. a few friends and I as kids used to have a great time collecting, trading and playing with them.
do people collect poker chips then?
in the pronunciation of neither (either too):
knee-ther or nye-ther or it dependents on words that come before and after?
"do people collect poker chips then?" - I'm sure some do... I was alluding to the acquiring through card play. I don't play but I have watched on the telly enjoying the psychology of the game and the antics of some of the best.
Neither?: prolly all helter skelter without a mind in my usage.
Elvis or elvish ?
ive restricted my betting to muffins or pizza but maybe i'll watch some time on tv. I do see poker advertised every so often. I think one of the neat things about the game is all the variants.
im a little young to have grown up with elvis, but came to a lot of his music, like i did with the beatles, after the fact. I recently watched the movie elvis and really enjoyed it (if you are an elvis fan, I can recommend it). but then the elves in lord of the rings are pretty nifty...hmmm, slight edge to elvis.
in a belated nod to "may the forth be with you"
who is the cuter droid---artoo or bb8?
bb8 was a delightful surprise... just when one thought droids were becoming too too we get a curve ball :)
Chess or checkers ?
I liked artoo a lot, but thought bb8 was a bit cuter. one of the things that made him so is that there were more interactions with the humans who genuinely liked and valued him.
when I had "games" on my computer I used to play a ton of computer chess but if it was a choice of playing one or the other with another person, id probably go with checkers.
the better of the star wars back stories: rogue one, or solo?
Solo for my choice :)
Female protagonist: Leia, Rey, Padmé, other ?
I thought they were both great and for the life of me, I cannot understand why they refused to make a sequel to solo!
that's a fun question---its hard to beat princess leia in jabba's metal bikini, and her romance with han was much better than Anakin and padme's. between the three though, I like natalie portman the best as an actress. however she suffered by being in the three worst movies of the bunch. the last three movies took some heat in some of the circles I read in for being too "girl power." I agree with that a little bit, but I don't necessarily think that disqualifies rey. she did a good job as a believable and central character of her movies. I say rey.
how about you?
and since we're still in the may the fourth be with you weekend:
the dark ominous death march type music that accompanies darth vader or the yearning hopeful light music that accompanies luke skywalker?
Hmmmm... Padmé is the most complex of the three, "girl power" and all.
Lol, Darth Vader's theme.
Jar Jar Binks or Salacious B. Crumb ?
