I saw a few of his movies back during his '80s heyday. Gates of Hell is probably the worst, although New York Ripper was pretty awful too. House by the Cemetary is better, because he at least tries for atmosphere, though he still couldn't manage coherence. Zombie is probably his best; that one gave me nightmares, probably due to the realistic-looking zombies and the ultra-grim, humorless approach he took. Well, except for the underwater zombie vs. shark fight, but that was awesome.
