Ah, the snowbound winter of ...er... 1982? Anyway, a semi-official squat in Putney, an inexhaustible potato soup that lasted three weeks, a kebab shop that sold bottles of Gordon's at two in the morning, a broken window pane through which an icy wind whistled, and the nightly attempts to pass out in the vicinity of, if not actually on top of, Yvonne, so that no one else could slide in there while I wasn't watching. Also, in those days I was better looking than Phil Oakey, although he had more expensive eyeshadow. 9/10
However, let's go back a further fifteen years or so. Love it or hate it, there had never been a song like it. A new genre invented in five minutes.
7/10. Not my favorite Beatles song, but...well, they're the Beatles.

Not bad but not something I would listen to on regular basis: 6/10.

While it was fun during the show, it doesn't do much on its own: 2/10.

That bloke always sounds as if he's singing down a phone. On top of which he has all the natural rhythm of a frog on a length of elastic. However, at least it's not one of their bad-couplets-and-leaden-funk-hop songs. 4/10
Here's The Dame at his least camp.
I like my Bowie camp, but this is still good stuff nonetheless. 8/10

Scher, have you managed to find on the Web somewhere a list I posted whilst drunk and then forgot, detailing all the songs and bands I most despise? And are you now working your way through that list simply to wind me up?
I'm not going to touch this one. No, I'm not. I am not. Even though it's as wet and weedy as a bucketful of wet weeds. I shall let it pass. Oh yes. You're not going to provoke a reaction - take my word for it. Nuh-uh. Carry on.
I imagine that David Cameron finds repose in The Moody Blues after a long day of campaigning against old whats-his-face.
1/10.

Queen - Under Pressure
(hmmm, Rog :p)
A really average song made enjoyable by a very impressive perfomance. 7/10
Here, fresh from the seventies, are some obscure Welsh rockers who apparently have their pensions paid by a well-known American stadium act. I'm amazed Metallica even heard of this lot, let alone covered their material.
7/10. Solid.
