2072 -- The Chinese are now experimenting on how to make a bonsai of a papaya tree. They want to gift it to the princess.
2073 - They have made the bonsai of a papaya tree and they send it to the princess through Pensive, the mockingbird.
2074 -- The princess is very pleased, and has ordered a bonsai for each household in her empire. The Chinese have a booming economy.
2075 - The Japanese are outraged that the Chinese stole the concept of bonsai, and declare war.

2077 -- Probably still 50; there was a rumor going around that a lot of people voted against Puerto Rico's acceptance because the 51st star would look funny.
2078 - Actually, Puerto Ricans voted and some wanted to become a state, the same percentage wanted to become a new nation, and the rest wanted to remain a common wealth. (This I know b/c it's my history.
2079 - The rest of the states take the idea from Puerto Rico and all 50 declare themselves new nations.

2081 - Wyoming's popular vote overwhelmingly outnumbered the combined votes from Montana and North Dakota. The United Northern States quickly became known to the rest of the world as "the UNs". The UNs decided to build their Capital Building out of mashed potatoes and located it at the top of Devil's Tower. Their Constitution specifically prohibited the planting or owning of Papaya trees, either Bonsai or full-sized.
2082- Following the UNs example, the Sovereign South decides that by golly, we can rise again! The Confederacy announces a new succession from the Union and tells the current President to quote "Kiss our grits!" unquote.
2083--Meanwhile a massive 'quake breaks California off from the mainland and I celebrate my 101st birthday with my husband, kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids.

2085 Not all is well in the New Confederacy as the South cannot agree on the new Capitol. "We don't want her up in Richmond again! Too durn close t' Yankee Territory!" is the general consensus. Someone suggested Miami, but with the California earthquake, most of Florida is now underwater, so that's out! Raleigh, NC might work.
