John Carter all the way. When I was twelve or so I freaking devoured that series. It was so vivid, I really lived inside it. Plus, when you're that age, those Franz Frazetta covers really, uh, get your attention. <cough>

Ursula Andress or Eva Green?
hmm, tough one...am going to lean slightly towards eva green...although its tough to beat the bikini shot from dr no.
i learned not too long ago that the voice we hear in dr no, is not actually Ursula andress', that her Swedish accent was so thick they opted instead to dub someone else in.
adele or Florence and the machine?
Adele, although her new single, after we waited so long for it, I find underwhelming. It's good, just not great, in my opinion.
I never knew that about Ursula Andress's voice in Dr. No. The fact that she was too Swedish to understand makes her even sexier to me--then, not now--but I am impressed at how good a job of overdubbing they did since I don't remember being able to tell that it wasn't her and their technology at the time was...not. And hell yes, the bikini shot is burned indelibly in the minds of three generations of men now. Probably how she got the job, and all she needed. ;-)
Curvy and voluptuous like the young Sophia Loren, or slim and elegant like, uh, whoever your favorite slim and elegant female is?
Sophia-esque
Gold Finger, or any other James Bond movie ?
Not sure I understand your question, it could mean you disliked Goldfinger so much you feel any other Bond movie is better. I'm going to interpret it to mean Goldfinger vs. some other Bond film as a favorite. For me it would probably be Casino Royale, as Daniel Craig is my favorite Bond and that movie freakin' rocked.
Bond theme songs: Adele's Skyfall or Chris Cornell's You Know My Name?
I like them both, but slight lean towards skyfall. apart from Adele's voice, I like how the melancholy tone and lyrics are foreboding and ominous and tie really well into the nature of the movie---something very personal and catastrophic to bond.
tyrion, when I first heard Adele's hello, I just liked it. 2nd time around, I liked it more, 3rd time around started to love it. there's going to be some televised concert in nyc coming up soon that I might watch, I suspect if I do, when she sings the song i'll end up loving it even more.
as movies---hunger games or lord of the rings?
Oh, sweet sassy molassy, Lord of the Rings! The Hunger Games is for the recently lobotomized.
Adele's voice is so powerful she can make anything sound great, and that's the undeniable part of Hello, it's just the song itself doesn't grab me; however I'm sure I will watch that live concert, thanks for the tip.
Regular rye bread or dark pumpernickel?
Regular rye bread, but they're both good.
The original Star Wars movies or the first three Indiana Jones movies?
Star Wars, and for me it's really the first Indy movie that rocked.
Cow milk, or some alternative like soy, almond. etc.?
I will never be able to experience soy/almond/etc. milk like that army of Pinterest health moms, so I'm gonna go with cow milk. Also some grain of salt advice: if you ever run out of milk for cereal, use half and half. Its sweetness will like match your cereal and using almond will just make you sad for wasting a bowl of cereal. Although I was eating Honey Bunches of Oats vs like Raisin Bran so results may vary, but just like throwing that out there. Anyway...
Hmmm, infinite universe or finite universe?
too heady for me---especially as my love of hunger games has found me recently lobotomized! ack!
i'll go with whichever one has god in it...
the old country music or the new country music?
Country music...<buries face in hands> Country freakin' music... You had to choose country music... Can we compromise and say bluegrass? I can dig me some o' that, but country... :-0
And I don't think our universe can be infinite, Isabelle, because it started as a single point and has been expanding ever since the Big Bang, of course, so it has to be finite if expanding. However, I am a subscriber to the multiverse theory, which from what I understand is quite plausible, and one could interpret an infinite number of universes as an infinite universe.
Nachos made from fake cheese from a squeeze bottle, or shooting yourself in the head?
tyrion, I suspect given a fondness for literature, an historic and renewed appreciation for the outdoors, you would like country music more than you think. the songs are interesting from a lyrics perspective, and more often than not, they are singing about something traditional of value. the merging of styles, pop with country, rock with country, etc, changed country music from something palatable and sometimes good, to more than good almost all the time.
I wonder if I recommended a handful of country songs to you, if you'd give 'em a try in earnest and see what you think?
I got turned on to the steeldrivers this year---they're a relatively new bluegrass band. have you heard of them?
im a vegetarian but not quite a vegan and I do occasional dairy products. im going to go with fake cheese is at least slightly better than no cheese at all.
leftover pizza for breakfast the next day, or eating peanut butter out of the jar with a spoon?
I am a big fan of leftover pizza for breakfast.
Eating three square meals a day, or just snacking consistently throughout the day?
Three square meals. Plus snacks. Throughout the day.
Yes, I am familiar with the permutations of modern country, bounty, and while I've heard some listenable songs, it just ain't my cup of tea. I know what you mean about the lyrics, though, it's often cited as a big reason why country fans like the music.
And I eat peanut butter from the jar with a spoon all the time. ;-) But I would warn you about that fake cheese--heed my advice, get out while you still can. ;-)
Being too hot or too cold?
