Plot driven books or character driven?
when I read the brothers Karamazov years ago, I remember complaining to a friend of mine who is the director of the local university library as to how slow the book was and nothings really happening and he said, "its because its a character driven story not a plot driven one." that was my first introduction to the differentiation.
I do pay attention to character development, but I want to see that in the context of a plot driven story that involves action.

French but I haven't seen much Italian, becoming more acquainted with cinema is on my to do list.

oh clopin, I might be committing heresy in saying this given you are Canadian, but hockey is way down on my sports to watch list and I actually enjoy watching curling. have I said before here I went to a bonspiel once? I think if I had the opportunity to do some curling id give it a try. so curling it is.
