Oh geez! How does one choose?
I am torn between Life of Brian and The Holy Grail.
If you could have a coffee and conversation with anyone in the world right now who would it be?

My favorite author coined the phrase in an essay she wrote called The Lost Tools of Learning and I really loved it because it applies well to me. Besides, I want to learn Latin.:DQuote:
Soo, erm, why'd you pick that signature?
Ooh! I choose Viggo Mortensen. I know that sounds weird but I just finished watching the first LOTR film and am feeling kind of philosophical. By all accounts, he is that kind of person.
Same question.
Hi Andave! How are ye today? :D
I would have coffee with Mira Nair, since she just came out with that movie "Namesake" and I am ironically named after her. It would be great to get to know her, she seems like a really tough woman.
What is the biggest change you think the world will go through by the year 2050?
hmmmm, It wont exist/be habitable :P we've put so much stuff in the air and water and it doesn't look like we're going to stop putting stuff in any time soon, so I doubt the world will last much longer.
Erm, same question
I'm hoping for transporters like in Star Trek.
Where's the last place you went on vacation?
Nags Head, North Carolina
Do you like having background music when you work/read?
yes, sometimes. depends on what it is. sometimes it can be distracting.
Do you like to go shopping when you're having a low-self esteem day?
No, I hate shopping
Do you like musicals? If so, what's your favorite?
no, they're silly to me. (and I'm betting there are some people on this forum who want to slap me for saying that)
Why does Obi Wan tell Yoda that Luke is their last hope in Empire Strikes back? He knew Luke's sister was Leia and so why did he say that? It sounded like he didn't even know Leia existed. Can females not be Jedi? Or is it a Star Wars goof?
Call it an "incredible lack of foresight" on the part of Lucas, who seemed to have forgotten he started the Star Wars saga with the fourth movie, which would lead to a multitude of inconsistities in the movies.[The Force was NOT with George Lucas, else he would have foreseen this!] (The book series is better, and Leia is certainly a Jedi Knight, but not a Jedi Master like Luke.)
Question: If you were out to produce a set of six movies, why would you start with number 4 in the first place? http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l1...Kane/dunno.gif
this sounds like the Ask a stupid question thread! :p
To keep people confused and interested?
If you were to get anything published, what would it be?
I've already gotten last month, so can't answer that :p
Who is the person you admire the most and why? (sorry if this has been asked already)
very well, thank you! :p and yourself?
Umm, let me see. Lord Peter Wimsey (NOT a real person! He's from a book. I chose him because I didn't know who else.) because he's witty and charming but loves collecting old books and solving mysteries.
What would you do with a million dollars?
Hmmm....Get everything set up to make a decent living then, afterword, personally give some of the money to the charities of my choosing.
I know, I'm sooooo generous.:p
If you were about to get married...Would you invite me to your wedding?
Absolutely. considering you're not *that* far off. And I also invite the entire LitNet. I'll let you know when someone asks. I hope you don't mind waiting a while; I'm kinda young.
where did you or your parents go on their honeymoon?
I have no idea where my parents went. We went to Ouray/Telluride, Colorado. Funny thing is, we don't ski!
Where would you like to go (or wish you had gone) on your honeymoon?
They didn't, I dont know why, I never asked. My parents probably saw each other on their wedding day (I haven't asked if they met before marriage), they had an arranged marriage. :)
Now I am wondering, I have so many questions for my parents....
EDIT -- I dont know where will I go, or if I will go at all, I have no idea. But, if I have to dream, then the most romantic city (I dont know which one), and outside of India (I hope I haven't dreamt too much) :D
Hey was about to ask the same question as you did.
So the next person --
Where would you like to go for your honeymoon? ;)
I wish we had gone to DisneyWorld in Florida, but my hubby gets sick on rides. I tried telling him that there was sooo much more to do, but we were short on funds anyway.
When did you get married, or when would you like to be married?
Hmm...Around the age of 25 to 30. I figure I'll have a hard time finding a good woman after the age of 30. Then again, I'm having a hard time finding a good woman now. So it's basically a lose-lucky-lose situation.
If you could married anyone in the world, who would it be?:D
Not much of anything. These diet pills really do it for me. I hope I don't have a stroke or a heart attack though.
Have you ever danced with the devil in the pale moonlight?

what is the most romantic gesture you have ever experienced?
Chicken Pox in the second grade. The whole class got them at some point.
What are/were your plans for today?
I returned some overalls that didn't fit and were strangely made. I filled up the gas tank and washed the truck. I am currently studying for a test and I got tired so I am going to loaf around here for a few minutes and then I will fold towels, get the work clothes ready for the week, change the sheets, run the vacuum, put the towels away and go back to studying. How fun is my life?
A fun-packed adventure!
Go to dramasnot's question.
The most romantic gesture I ever experienced was when my hubby asked me to marry him. On a beautiful Sunday afternoon, we hiked to the top of a mountain that overlooked the city, and at the summit he popped the question. He would have gotten down on one knee, but a mound of busy fire ants was close by. I preferred him unstung and uncrippled--especially since we still had to hike down--so I let him off the hook.
Same question...
Well, the sweetest thing that ever occured was when the love of my life had these teeny photographs especially made to fit into a locket shaped like a heart (made of pure silver). The locket is only half an inch, if that, so these are teeeeeny pics. One side is him, and one side is me, and when I got that gift, of course one must try the hinge to see if the locket opens up easily, and in it I saw these pics and it was very very sweet. I was deeply touched by this, I must say.
Same q for the next poster...
I'm confused so I'll answer my question.
Today I went to the mall looking for shoes, I found a brown pair but forgot to pick up a map.
When was the last time you were on a bus and where did you go?
Hummm. Guessing 1988. Culpepper, VA to visit another Merillat plant. It was the start of our two local plants downslide...
What was the first time you realized you hated a class in school?
I haven't yet, although I have really disliked certain days in classes. oh well.
What was the last piece of music you heard that absolutely knocked your socks off?
*mine was Shostakovich's 8th symphony the other evening, and right before that it was a Schumann cello concerto w. a fantastic German soloist. He had the music memorized, and it was a beautiful piece. Sehr impressive.*
The Passing of the Elves from the Lord of the Rings the Fellowship of the Ring complete recordings.
Same question.
I would have to say Urbia By: Kissinger
The lyric were beautiful and I am a suck for anything with a great Bass emphasis!
What is you favorite instrument!?!
Guitar, I have this wonderful black electronic bass guitar which I have been attemting to teach myself how to play for a few years now without much success. If I can just manage to play Smoke On the Water I will die a happy man.
Same Q
the violin. I'm a sucker for sorrow!
favourite type of biscuit an snack?
mines a tunnock tea cake!
I make the yummiest vegan chocolate chip and almond cookies (even vegan haters love them!).
Do you think there is life on other planets and why?
Yeah, why not? I think its rather egotistical of us to think we were the ONLY life to form in the entire universe. I'm not saying I buy into "I Married An Alien" tabloid stories, but its hard to think Earth is the only one on which organisms can survive. Maybe not in this solar system, but somewhere out there. Who knows?
