Good Question! Anette Koppel, Danish singer, from the band Savage Rose (Hippies :))
Same Question
John Lennon (solo days), Lou Reed (Velvet Underground), or Bjork (just because she seems so unique!).
Remiscient of another question on another thread, if you could hang out with one musician for a night for drinks, who would you choose?
Oh can I change my mind from before!!! For both anyway, it would have to be Sebastian, a fabulous Danish song writer/singer, and a pretty awesome guy. Would really like to hang out with him. (I'll send you some lyrics at some point Mono!)
Would you take a job, knowing you'd spend the day in the street getting yelled at, getting things thrown at you, just because you believed in the cause?
We have a lot of those people here in Portland (Green Peace, Children International, OSPIRG, etc.), and they really annoy the hell out of me, but I respect their passion. If I did, I would really have to believe in the cause, perhaps something on book censorship, medical ethics, or something along those lines.
If you had acting or singing talent (not saying that you do not;)), would you want to act/sing in a movie, a stageplay, a musical, or an opera?
If I had the Talent, I would love to live it, I have a few friends who are actors/singers, and their company is always awesome, and the wrecked, poor, desperate lifestyles, though immediatly unappealing, is loaded with a nostalgic romantic feel.
Would you dare to gamble everything on a single talent?
If I did not have my full-time job as a critical care nurse, I have no doubt I would exist as the classic starving-artist type. I do not think I would - that sounds like a lot to gamble, and I would not call myself a risk-taker.
What planet would you visit, if you had the chance?
Saturn
Would you consider yourself lucky?
I suppose I have a very internal locus of control, and believe little in luck, but I feel the dice has rolled for me more than against me, for sure.
Would you consider your extroverted or introverted?
Extroverted, but oddly often seeking solitude.
Would you ever get a tatoo?
I have thought about it, having had a number of piercings in the past (that have slowly disappeared over the years), but cannot decide on something so much more permanent than a piercing.
If you got a tattoo, would you have it somewhere easy to cover with clothing, or more out in the open?
Easy to cover. I plan to do a lot of travelling and work in cultures that have really negative associations with tatoos.
Same question.
A place easy to cover, for sure. One of the very few places I have thought of lies on the exterior aspect of both lower legs.
If you could eliminate one part of this forum, which section would you choose?
Sigh, the religion thread, it seems to spawn too much anger ;)
Same question (hah! :D)
Probably the area I visit the least, the poetry and general writing sections - most seem to appear as the teenager he/she-dumped-me-and-now-I-have-nothing-and-feel-suicidal-will-someone-help-me-even-though-I-will-refuse-help-and-deny-everything.
Would you, Chava, consider yourself a fast typist?
I am a fast typist, yes indeed, with lots of little errors that fl in where I least expect it. Years of online computer gaming will teach you to type fast...
Would you?
Apparently not fast enough to keep up with you, while we hijacked 3 threads.:lol:
Would you consider yourself the leader or the follower in the group of your friends?
Probably the leader.
Same question.
It depends on the circumstances, but usually a follower - my best friend does a fantastic job at arranging things, making reservations for get-togethers, making sure everyone has a fun time. I can play the leader from time to time, but my shyness tends to get in the way. :p
Would you ever do someone else's homework for him/her, knowing that the subject seems entirely irrelevant and unneeded for the person's area of study?
No I hate doing my own homework.
Would you lie to protect someone?
Yes, but I'm not a good liar.
Would you put a swing in your tree?
Yes, of course! In fact, I used to have a tyre swing on our guava tree out back!!!
Would you have a tiger as a pet?
No, poor thing!
Would you buy a red umbrella?
Nope, I do not own an umbrellas. As the second rainiest metropolitan city in the U.S., we say that only tourists own umbrellas. :D
Yet, if I did own an umbrella, sure, I could get a red one. ;)
Oddly enough, I have seen these, but would you own a square umbrella?
No, it seems unpractical. Besides I already own three umbrellas, and always forget to bring them.
What, would you be frightened of?
Water - a deathly fear, likely from having almost drowned once upon a time.:eek2:
Same question.
I'm not scared of anything. I lie. The one thing I have recurring nightmares about is being in a situation where I loose the ability to communicate. Where there is no mutual language, and no similar body language. Scares the living daylights out of me. Blame the Syrian military and their machine guns ;)
Would you consider yourself rational?
Most of the time, yes. I tend to keep a lot of my thoughts to myself, but consider myself radically opinionated. When I feel very passionate about something, I can get a bit extreme and Utopian, but I always have open ears for others.
Would you consider yourself more of an analytical thinker or holistic thinker?
analytical all the way.
Do yiou feel that you are the best person you could be
No I do not. There is definitely room for improvement.
What a fabulous question. Let's keep it for the next person.
Heck no. Far from it.
Same q. :p
No I have a long way to go.
Would you help someone that you did not know because it was the right thing to do?
most probably... but it might also depend on what it is.
would you leave someone you really, really love if you knew it was the right thing?
Yes I would
Would you move to the otherside of the world for the one you loved?
In a heartbeat
Would you believe me if i said the pharmaceutical industry is corrupt to the core?
Even as a medical professional in Western medicine, I have seen and heard of some strange things in the pharmaceutical industry . . . :p
If you received an expensive gift that you hated from a loved one, would you make up an excuse and have him/her return/exchange it, or would you go behind his/her back and do it yourself?
I'd go behing they're back and exchange it.
Same Question.
Same answer, and I have unfortunately had to do that in the past. I felt awful! :eek2:
Would you consider yourself patient?
No, but Im getting better
Would you dare to dream up impossibilities, and then work to complete them?
As a relentless dreamer, I already have - some worked, some failed, and some in the making . . . ;)
If you chose to donate to some agency, would you donate money to the environment or poor families?
But I already do both and more..? If I were to cut down as I already have due to financial restraints, it would probably be on the environment side.. (I can't help it, I'm a people person, and I could rationalise a multitude of reasons for why helping people will help the environment)
Would you describe people in terms of good or bad?
