no although my past has been for difficult and hard to bear at times i believe that it made me who i am and i like who i am. I am a great mother, a good wife and friend and an excellent student who works hard to achieve my goals.

same question?
No past makes me who I am today and even if Im not completely happy with that if I went back and changed it then would I still be me or someone else and would I care anymore??
Same Q
What's the question?
Eh, think I'll say no, since it's something about changing one's past. (Too lazy to switch pages...) I like my past, and though I have made a(n incidentally large) number of mistakes, I think I'll keep them because every mistake I have made has taught me something.
Very good question, erm, whatever it is, how about another repeat? :D
Ive already answered but here is the Q
Quote:
Would you consider going back in time to change your own past?
the two persons above me are online, this is really nice! :)
The question is so interesting. I ever wished I could turn back time, and definitely I would have been able to do something that could change the life of my self and my beloved one's. Well, I feel pretty good with my present situation -> so no more regret about the past now. There are many beautiful, unforeseen (un)interesting things ahead that I haven't explored and done yet.
Life itself is to me like a road, and I wanna go straigth ahead toward the end of that road. :)
Ask a question Rosevn please when you finish answering the above one. That what the thread is about.
Go back in time to change one's past and make it better, I think, is the dream of evry living human, with exeptions of course. We make mistakes, sometimes irreparable ones, and we would like to repare them. Going back in the past to do so will be a good idea. But don't you thing that won't affect our future or make no future at all. In this case we won't learn at all and we won't need each other. We always seek help and help each other to solve a past mistake and pass over our experience to one a nothe. Going back to the past will change the world and the way we deal with each other. Addaptation will be hard. I'm used to what I'm and I like my life as it is because it what I was that makes of me what I'm know. To make it better is now that I have to do it not in the past.
Let it go round a little again. Same Q
Would you consider going back in time to change your own past? Since I asked this orignal question that appears to have everyone in a time loop I shall answer it then ank another to see what happens. No I would not even dream of changing my past even though I was a vicitim of violence. What I went through has made me a much stronger person and I would not change who I am today for anything. Hope this will brake the chain. :)
Would you want to be a celebrity without being able to have any privacy?
No, never! Ever!
(100 posts, Ancestor, conga rats. :) Nice!)
Would you ask for more in Oliver Twist's place?
Thanks for your reminder :) :cool:Quote:

So yes, as you said going back to the past will change the world and the way we are living right now. What passed already passed. If we have an unhappy past, just stand firmly facing it, we can become a stronger person as Ancestor by such unhappy/unlucky experience. And if we make mistakes in the past, lessons learnt afterward are worth, right?!Quote:

Like Ancestor, what I experienced have helped me a stronger person. I wanted to go back, mainly because of one of my loved one. Well I miss that great man, and I will miss him for the rest of my life :)
ANd here is my question: Would you believe in FATE? or would you think there is a fate set for every humanbeing?
No...I don't believe in predestination.I believe we create our own fate.Through personal decisions colliding with the events of the world we built our own history everyday.I think it's a mixture of genetic predispositions and environmental factors.I believe in scientific explanations for things and not in the supernatural or fate that is already created or known prior to the physical or mental process.
Would you clone your pet(as in a dog or cat)?
Note:The "clone" would be a carbon copy of little "spot" or "muffins" -genetically identical- but would be a blank canvas when it comes to considering environmental influences, meaning all of those memories and years you spent together with the original would cease to have any meaning with the " new spot or muffins ".The clone would be from scratch(though predisposed due to its genes-and these are still the predominate influences) and may develop surprising personality traits, as a result of changing homes or encountering new or disturbing people, style, climate, food or care ect and not be exactly like the previous pet who you decided to clone when he/she died.
PS:If you don't have a dog or cat you could probably consider cloning your favourite farm animal-pig,horse or sheep, so reply with your answer if you have one of these instead...
wouldnt be any point as you could just get a new one and have a change because it would most probably turn out similar.
if you were say a prime minister of some ex-superpower and were asked by, lets say the president of the major superpower who keeps you in the UN because you do what its government says would you risk the lives of your people?(obviously a completely hypothetical question with no link to current affairs :p)
Sory for you. That what live is made of. Knoledge based on pain and suffering. That will bring me to your question about fate. Yes I believe in it as part of our existance.Quote:

Yes...as long as the request was not too extravagant.I think if it was in desperation then I would definitely ask for help.If I was starving or dehydrated or dying in the middle of the desert or the Antartic then I would search around till I came across a stranger who might be so kind as to help me...at least till I could survive by myself. And I think if they were sincere and truely a good person, then they would at least attempt to help me and then send me on my way with the necessary goods.
Would you leave(even if your family or some of your friends didn't) your home, possessions and town if there was a warning or prediction of a natural disaster in the near future?
.....or would you stay?
It depends on how the warning and prediction can be true. For the part of the world I'm living in, there is no such disasters, thanks to God. But I'm not such a fool to know I'm going to die and wait for it. I'll cling ti life like my family and my frinds, and all human beings, will do. Home is created by people. So better leave it and beggin from 0 than vanish with it forever.
Would you accept some hurting comments, but true, made by somebody not close to you about your privet life or react unfrindly?
Depends on how hurting the comments are and to who they're being told to... I mean if they're telling it to someone that i really dislike and who's always minding other people's business then yes, i would be really unfriendly. ;)... my turn:
-Would you stand next to an errupting volcano (in a protective suit of course) just to see what inside the volcano looks like with lava coming out of it?
In such a protective suit and strong safety precautions existed, then sure! That would sound like quite an experience.
Hypothetically, if you stood in a store of some kind, of which, at that time, someone robbed and held everyone hostage, would you run, or take any risks to escape, if given the chance?
That brings me to what extant life is valuable to one? Yes I would. I'm not a hero and I wouldn't play this role in any condition. Some may say thet this is a cowerd decission, but it's the wisest one. I'v passed through many experiences that thought me that my own safety is beyound any heroic act; and if I get killed or badly wounded, no one will take care of me or I'll be forgotten in a short time. Poeple who was dead in taking such alternative are now forgotten leting behind them their femilies and a life worth living.
Would you kill an animal for food?
Yes. I would kill an animal for food. I have killed an animal and eaten it. Many times. But now I just kill for fun.........
Would you wear a protective suit and kill your 'animal food' with your bare hands, if need be? (this Q does not apply to Mr. Mono, of course...)
Protective suit? What for? Fish? :D well, if need be, then perhaps...
Would you ever watch a boring show (to you) because you've got nothing better to do? :D
*Decidedly* No. I'm hardly ever bored (especially nowadays!!!) and when there is a time when I don't have anything in particular I feel like doing, then I'll spend it in useless hours browsing the net, or productive ones (which rarely come out of boredom) of writing. Or simply read. But boredom usually comes in the times that one doesn't even feel like reading.
Would you ride a bike down a steep hill if you weren't sure of the condition of its (the bike's, not the hill's) brakes?
No way! I used to be quite afraid of going down steep hills, especially cos I sometimes lose control of my bike and crash! The rocks have no mercy you know.... neither do the hills or the roads. ;) So I always put on the brakes when I'm going down the hill... and if I knew the bike's brakes were unsure??? I'd never ride that bike in the first place!!! huh!
There was once when I went down a hill and braked too hard on the front wheel and not on the back. I ended up flying head over heels through the air, and the bike doing a cartwheel and landing on top of me....pretty spectacular. Of course, I was really grumpy that afternoon, as it was my first or 2nd day of holiday and i already blew it by hurting myself..... :brawling:
Would you rather die for what you believe or give in? (of course, before you die, don't forget all the torturers....) ;)
Giving in, to me, sounds like a metaphorical death, involving much more self-abandonment. If I died, I would want to remain myself as long as I lived, so, yes, I would rather die (or go to prison, get tortured, etc.) for what I believe.

Intresting. I believe that we are born to be tested (not to suffer). That can be a good test and a final one. To die or give in? One can be lost in making his/her mind. But the irony is that we are going to die afterwards. A life without purpose and belief is not worth to be lived. Of course I'd die for what I believe in especialy my religion although I know, and I don't deny it, it would be a difficult decision to make.
I won't say that I like your question Adelheid but I love it.

Would you secretly eat a whole cake at a birthday party if there was only one, leaving nothing for anyone else? (Let's just say you know you can't get caught)
Your Q is fun, Loki :). I would not cuz simply I dun like that act.
You are fond of cake, rite?
Same Q.
! Just like Loki.....good ol' Loki. :D Nah... I don't think I would. Wouldn't you get sick of eating a WHOLE cake??!!
Would you rather eat a healthy meal before you die knowing it's your last, or an unhealthy meal, not knowing it's your last? or neither? ;)
Ummm Id eat somthing YUmmy not nessearally either whatever I fancy OOOO maybe brussels sprouts :D
Ummm was this a big birthday cake or little birthday cake muffins? I love cake! Huum maybe I would maybe I wouldnt ....
I wouldnt do it secretly though especially if its MY birthady cake Id say" ehhem thanks for the great preseant Ill just go and enjoy it now";)
Cake Q againQuote:
Would you secretly eat a whole cake at a birthday party if there was only one, leaving nothing for anyone else? (Let's just say you know you can't get caught)
Nope, could not even if I wanted to because my stomach is not big enough for the whole cake. Although if it were chocolate I would give it my best try although my waiste line would grow afterwards.
Would you marry someone if you only knew the person for two days?
Ah, no thanks. :D You know the saying..."Marry in haste, repent at leisure." I wouldn't want to take that *too* far, but two days? Too soon! :D
Same question (good one).
I'm not crazy to do so. Two days is nothing compared with the whole life that you'r going to spend with that person. Once married, you are bound with your partener for life. Why getting married and then looking for divorce to repaire a mistake done in two days time. Only an emotionally fool will do that. So better be carful when choosing than regreting it the rest of your life.
Would you tell the truth, at any condition, or not, according to the situation?
Though it may involve some pain, I must say yes, and, for this reason, I try to avoid trouble, so that I will have no reasons to lie.
Would you pick a flower out of someone's prized garden for a loved one, if the garden's owner did not see?
I think i would leave it there, i presume the owner of same prised garden would appreciate it more than some loved on. Besides, some of the most simple flowers are some of the most beautifull.
Would you ever seek to fulfill something you dreamed the previous night?
Dreams are the outcome of our desires and thoughts. In a way or a nother you'll find yourself seeking to fulfill them. Why get in haste? One day or a nother they will be fulfill, at least partially. So I wouldn't.
Would you give up what you are up to when facing difficult conditions?
No, I would do everything I could to change the conditions.I would at least attempt to turn the negatives into positives and try to have some control in my own life, by been reflective and using the strong faculty of reason to make an improvement.
Would you board the first mission to mars if there was a high probability that it would fail?
Note:This is the first manned flight, so there is no guarantee
that this space ship will work, though there has been many
safety checks and tests before, without cargo, and all of
the necessary regulations are in place.
...or would the exploration, scientific advancement, chance to view
and analyse mars in person, and be remembered as the first human
in history, on a mars mission, outweigh the risks?
REPLACING THE SHUTTLE
*The August 13th edition of New Scientist reported:
'The general-purpose shuttle will be replaced by specialised launchers
for manned flight and cargo.'
Hard choice...
Let's see.... first human on Mars and high chance of death or... stay right at home being nice and cozy...hmmm. Stay at home (what can I say)
My turn ;)
Learning all the secrets of the Universe to save the world from disaster (knowing that you might learn somethings that might kill you) or stay safe if your happy little world taking no chances
Good question.
I suppose if I might learn something that might only kill me, and no one else, then sure, I would take the chance.
If you found a letter on the ground, of which the sending address lay very nearby (not quite a mile away), would you deliver the letter yourself, as a good deed, or would you put the letter in a mailbox one block away?
(this happened to me the other day, ironically, and I delivered the letter, to its receiver's surprise, but, then again, I had nothing else to do :p)
if I knew where to go I would take it...from where I live the mail is so slow it would just be wrong to put it back into the system
If you could become rich from stealing someone's invention would you do it? (
Well, no. It would be breaking God's commandment. Wealth obtained that way is cursed.
Same Q.
No way.
We didn't invent the thing. The other person did it. (S)he deserves the money, not us.
Would you parachoot if it were 95% safe?
