Listening to the brand new Depeche Mode album, Playing the Angel... currently track 9, the instrumental, called Introspectre...
My God, I feel it all again...the way I love this band so much, I feel it all again so deep, with this album, its dark sounds, its lyrics I can relate to for a big part at least, sometimes bitter, sometimes wicked, sometimes hopeful (that's were I relate a bit less...:D)
Some jems...
If I could just hide
the sinner inside
and keep him denied
how sweet life would be
if I could be free
from the sinner in me
I'm not sure what I'm looking for
anymore
I just know
that I'm harder to console
I don't see who I'm trying to be
Instead of me
but the key
is a question of control
We're damaged people
drawn together
by subtleties that we are not aware of
disturbed souls
playing out forever
these games that we once thought we would be scared of
Pain and misery always hit the spot
Knowing you can't lose
what you havent got...
(er...sorry about this advert-kinda post...that's love....)
In the meantime got to track 11... "Lilian".
Koa, I used to go and see Depeche Mode when you were listening to nursery rhymes.
Riding with the King- Eric Clapton/BB King

And I'm not listening to anything cos I was meaning to take a short break so I avoided putting too much music on not to make the break too long because of the music... but the music is over and the break has been lasting a while anyway... nothing new though...
