*****This was a cheat. I'm sorry. I bend the 'P' rule way too much, and it's not fair. Delete.*****
What if he doesn't like it VBM? Do y'know what..it makes me cringe!!! (sorry) Not a fan of piercings I'm afraid, though I don't mind ears - though I maybe should cos the concepts no different. Ohhhhh I couldn't stand that thing in my mouth though. Doesn't it irritate you? It would drive me crazy - but then maybe I already am!
i leave for germany tomorrow.
DOH!!! I had an interview yesterday and I forgot to take my eyebrow peircing out!!! Do I subconsciously not want the job?
:banana:Holiday...celebrate...
Done last exam today, I don't know why my endless breathless self-confident talking after every question (Paradise Lost, Frankenstein, Tom Jones) wasn't appreciate enough to get the best mark, but I'm used to my unluck. Good anyway.
And I enjoyed being with that damn guy I should forget...again...
And, VBM... nice tongue!!! :D
Congratulations Koa!!
:D  :thumbs_up :alien:
Many wonderful end-of-exams smilies for you!
poor papaya...i think that if you are skilled at what you do, then the hiring process should be more hinged upon that, rather than if you have body art that is not technically "mainstream". the thing is, piercings are becoming more and more common, to the point of almost being a cultural thing, and piercings have been accepted in various cultures without shame or punishment for centuries. i suppose that its our stiff conservative 'business' ideals that hold back progress in the area of self expression, but...still..
*takes off rose colored glasses*
oh...you are sOOoooooOOO not getting that job!
and yay koa on the end of all things school...for now!
myself, i just got three uni courses in the mail on friday (18th and 19th century lit, sociology of the family, and first year french) so im just starting back up again.....
can you believe that i have to read "wuthering heights" for that class?
i thought i was done with the Bronte's......grrrrr
it's an excellent tale!!!
em, indeed. :)
im in germanz. hmm... the z and the y are switched in german keyboards
Hehe that makes sense, tried to speak any german yet? Tried to buy anything through the universal language of pointing?
Today my dad received as a birthday gift a large box of meat from his brother. It's revolting to look at. Now we're going to be eating gelbwurst and weissewurst for the next month-and-a-half, I'd say.
My dad was delighted, btw.
The kitten is all better too. Getting very big, they are.
oh really? like eastern european keyboards! expect lots of inverted z and y if i happen to post when i'll be in hungary!!! (i'm excited about the whole thing now, for those who read my depressed scared ramblings about it some time ago)Quote:

I was really missing this forum.
me? have fun? that's against my nature... it all depends on how long it takes me to get used to using forum from public computers... I hate it because I'm always feeling like whoever is at the pc near mine is spying me...:D (oh it actually happened to me once at Uni, i was writing an email and a boy asked me why i was writing in English! i hate that kind of questions...i'm not going to reveal about my internet-life!). I'm leaving in september or late august, I talked with the girl who's been there last semester and she said it was cool, the rent was very cheap... only she didnt like much the people (the other foreign students), which was my biggest fear but I'll hope to have more luck or to be able to enjoy the new experience not caring of the people (i'm actually hoping to open up to people in this experience, but i'm used to loneliness and not getting on, so...). *stops rambling*Quote:

on a side note: I ate my first real meal since monday last night!!! (a juicy hamburger with lots of pickles, cooked on my brand new bbq, with potato salad and baked beans) i was so excited, i could hardly chew for all my grinning!!! :D :D
Yay, Ravana! We missed you!
And yayy, VB! :D That must have been nice. How do you keep it clean, btw? Listerine? I couldn't imagine having to put peroxide in my mouth.
Koa, I know you're going to have a great time. I'm leaving about the same time -- I just pray I have a roommate with a comp and a lot of generosity. :p Otherwise, with both of us gone, this place is going to get rather dead very suddenly!
goodness no, emily. no peroxide and no listerine. you wouldnt use peroxide even on a non-oral piercing..EVER. for all my body piercings i used just neutrogena soap to clean with twice a day, and saltwater solution soaks slightly more often.
for my current piercing, i use a sea salt solution and i rinse everytime i put anything in my mouth (including a cigarette) and that, my dear, is it. i brush my teeth just like normal now, and i suck on a lot of ice chips to keep the swelling down (popsicles are a pain cause the top bead really is in the way, and it really doesnt feel good to bump it)
i ate dinner tonight too....im on a roll!
I've heard a lot of people say, "never use peroxide," but that's what I've always used in my ears and they're fine. Oh well. Good to hear your mouth's universe is returning to normal. :D

I am leaving in 15 minutes for the plane! Is this excitment I feel? What a novel idea, the spark of enjoyment, anticipation, Calgary wiating for me. Nothing can bar my way.
yay!!! have a great time!!!
I just bought a big ole box of expensive doggie treats. On the package is the following advertisement: “Made from 100% human-quality ingredients.” – Not too sure how to take that.
You know what though, they are pretty tasty.
lol...nice sancho!
i realized tonight that one of my biggest pet peeves is pharmacutical companies advertising on tv, especially before their products have been approved for use. all you get is: "if you think fledexherine (or whatever *insert unpronouncable name here*) might be right for you, call your doctor", or worse yet they give you some random images and then a name of a product. no information to be had.
i dont know though if that is worse than the ones where they say "blah blah may not be right for everyone. may cause skin rash, heart attacks, gout, ulcers, bleeding gums, excessive gas, the plague, etc..do not use if currently alive or breathing."
drug companies.... :rage:
ahhh. okay....rant over, i think.
FEMALE SCIENTIST: Homer, you really have no desire to eat any of the food in front of you?
HOMER: Food? What food?? Agh, I'm blind!
MALE SCIENTIST: Who's going to buy a drug that causes blindness?
FEMALE SCIENTIST: Ah..we'll let marketing handle that.
Hey Sancho, Milkbones aren't too bad either......
Heh heh. I’ll pass on the Milkbones. These were these little sandwich cookie looking thingys flavored with carob. We both liked ‘em.
After a conversation about how people at work will eat anything that is free somebody brought in those sandwich cookies into work to see who would eat them. She left the wrapper on so people knew what they were getting into, they were gone within the week.
I took a class in greek Mythology a while back. We had to read this thing about how the gods came into being, does anybody know who wrote this? It was some greek.....
Hey Papaya, I think our fellow workers are cut from the same cloth. Someone has a birthday at least once a week where I work so we’ll get one of those slab cakes with a kooky saying on it. They last about 30 seconds. I’ve actually witnessed people scraping the crumbs and extra frosting up off of the waxed paper with their little plastic forks.
isnt it a bit odd that a trip to europe would reinforce ones mental stereotypes rather than completely change them??? dont people usually come back saying its exactly the opposite of what i expected?
well you're in germany... ;)
just joking but where i am it's normal to see german tourists and they are recognisable from considerable distance due to their charateristic traits...:D
One of my sons has epilepsy and the drugs prescribed for him had some real 'good' side effects - the worst one though was a drug called 'Gabapentin' and one of the side effects was 'sudden death!'
OMG...that's the worst one yet, miranda. i thought the "uncontrollable, oily anal discharge was bad "but your's wins, hands down.
random thought : always do backups. I did not do. after three years all is gone, school, accounting to work... everything... luckily me that I found the link to this forum again... :rage: such a horrible day.... till now I loved saturdays....
(D'oh poor evulik, that must be irritating as hell!!!)
Often when I visit forums, even this one, I wish I was a dictator that could fix the rules...then I'd forbid the use of the word 'boyfriend' (or even girlfriend) or any similar concept. (the effect these words have on me: :bawling:)
(Don't mind me, I'm costantly trying to spoil everybody else's fun. Maybe one day I'll grow up...).
evulik, that happened to a friend of mine; she lost creative stuff she'd written and all...after that, i recommend not only backing stuff up, but e-mailing yourself word docs, and whatever else, so that if nothing else, yahoo/hotmail/etc. else can store it for you. i've even done that with a phone number or two, since with my cell phone, i rarely memorize them anymore.
