Do most people, really tell it like it is?...I highly doubt that. I could honestly say that I don't give a lot of thought of how my behavior "costs " me in society. Maybe it's because my social skills are quite good. I am warm, charming and agreeable for the most part. I genuinely like interacting with people and they can tell that I am sincere. I also have no problem taking a stance in something I believe in even if it’s unpopular and I can be confrontational if the situation warrants it. The people that I like to be surrounded with for the most part admire me for my honesty as they always know where they stand with me and the rest I truly do not care about, I have no need to be loved by everyone.There is also nothing I admire more than someone who has the integrity to be honest and forthright. Hence the quote “I'm sick of just liking people. I wish to God I could meet somebody I could respect"
Which would be worse, someone you are close to moving away or losing touch, as in falling out, with someone who lives close by?

(I have seen more eskimos than genuine self deprecating statements or people telling it like it is to someone with the power to make their lives, well, more difficult. The rare instances it's happened at work- the person was gone not long after).

(I don't make self deprecating statements, that's for people that feel insecure or unworthy or are trying to manipulate others. In my work environment I am diplomatic but also known and respected for saying what I think)
