i like the uniqueness of nightwish's music and the lyrics of this particular one were very compelling.
wanted dead or alive by tom cruise in the rock of ages.

that was both funny and irritating at the same time tailor! kinda like a kazoo, or Alvin and the chipmunks.
let me take you home tonight by boston.
-
Boston :)
Tonight, Tonight - Smashing Pumpkins
-
I remembered you liked boston.
tonight from the west side story soundtrack
-
I read the lyrics as a poem and didn't get the full impact that the song gives. The lyric "With suns and moons all over the place" might have been better thought out.
But Not Tonight - Depeche Mode
-
I sometimes wonder how song lyrics would hold up on their own in a poetry book.
you can look (but you better not touch) by bruce Springsteen
-
otherworldliness
perhaps the poetry of song would hold
its own if one were to first to peruse its
lyrics, then pause to reflect - for adding
the extra dimensionality of music tends
to free the verse into otherworldliness
1/30/2024 - tailor
Perhaps he antithesis of Bruce's song... (lol)
Touch-A-Touch-A-Touch-A-Touch Me - by various/ Song by Richard O'Brien (featured in Rocky Horror Picture Show)

do you wanna touch me (yeah) by joan jett and the blackhearts
-
"Do you wanna dance?" byyyyyyyyyyyy the Beatles?

Presence Of The Lord - Blind Faith

Divine Wind - Blue Öyster Cult:
"... I've always thought aliens are the only answer, though if they're anything like us they won't necessarily be benevolent." - Buck Dharma
-
last year I read a collection of stories that rod serling bought and turned into twilight zone episodes. I recently watched one of those with "benevolent" aliens. I wonder if you know it? the episode title is to serve man.
dust in the wind---I love the original Kansas version, but the live cover by sarah Brightman is fantastic
-
yep, lol. I'm more a "Childhood's End" optimist; written in my birth year it never came to fruition... so many hours playing on the beach gone to waste.
dude... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zMdDbgR8h7Y
Metal & Dust - London Grammar
-
I just read that's Arthur c Clarke. I have some of this stories but not that one I think.
that was cute---think that movies worth watching? thatd be a great book---philosophy according to pop music.
gold dust woman by fleetwood mac
-
lol... the first Bill & Ted is the only worthwhile movie IMHO of the series and is a cult classic... it's silly but came at a time when I needed a laugh, so I'm biased. Philosophy according to music would be interesting.
Gold on the Ceiling - The Black Keys
-
I wonder really if such a book has been written!
I love that black keys song! it was the first one of theirs I had heard and it turned me onto them.
one of my absolute all time favorites:
the esctasy of gold by these folks https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nOE24dd0Xmc

midnight train to Georgia by Gladys knight and the pips
-
Nah, don't need a poster... a tape of Ozzie and a copy of Dante's Inferno were the last things my little sister gave me...
Stars and Midnight Blue - Enya
-
I hope those are nice memories and tokens.
but if ever I see one, maybe i'll still grab it for ya!
midnight at the oasis by maria muldaur
-
Memory... not so much; I'd return all the tokens in a heartbeat...
I love Maria's voice :)
Midnight Rain - Taylor Swift... today, this may be the first song I've ever listened to of Taylor's in its entirety... at least to my knowledge.
