oh wait wait---lemme throw another one out there!
from man to man (death rides a horse), I think by Ennio Morricone from the kill bill soundtrack. the scene in which its played it was one of my favorites in the movie---full of powerful righteous deadly menace.
My musical tastes are eclectic, from the sublime to the ridiculous... metal, yeah.
Catchy tune... love the battle flute; counter with:
Heavy Horses - Jethro Tull
some day if I ever get high speed internet, i'll enjoy listening to the posts of the titles I don't know! meanwhile, I CAN say I like the use of the flute in Jethro tull's music.
have you seen kill bill tailor?
if you include the blues in your eclecticism...
my heavy road by big mama thornton...
re: HSI... understand, Ziggy (front room) and Alexa (bedroom) are on strike today even after resetting the modem multiple times (though I can stream through the speakers using bluetooth from my laptop), which is weird because I have streaming telly news on my fire TV and access on my laptop... hoo-doos I tell ya !
re: kill bill - no I haven't... barely survived pulp fiction.
Love the blues :) and jazz and classical and hymns and techno and speed metal and bluegrass and electronica... the only music I eschew contains hateful or profane language.
Great song... kept waiting for a guitar solo to go tearing off into the heavens.
Allison Road - Gin Blossoms
"Ziggy" is new to me, where does he come from?
I thought pulp fiction was greatly overrated. for sure kill bill is violent, but its violence with a purpose and unlike pulp fiction, you really root for uma Thurman. plus there is a lot of good music. do you know Tomoyasu Hotei's Battle Without Honor Or Humanity? I like the movie version is better than other ones that are out there.
there is a great (!) scene with santa Esmerelda's don't let me be misunderstood. uma Thurman and lucy liu are about to square off in a sword fight in a sort of Japanese zen garden, at night night, with a slow motion snow falling. the opening seconds of that scene are soooo good!
am glad you liked big momma thornton. i'll keep my eyes peeled for more blues opportunities.
ohhh, so many good "road" songs----!
do any of them beat john Denver's country roads?. and oh---i really encourage you to hunt up the orchestral version from the second kingsmen movie!
I think Ziggy is short for Ziggy Stardust and is one of the monikers one can use for Amazon smart speakers: "Ziggy", "Alexa", "Computer", and "Echo"... I use all but "Computer" now since it messed with my smart telly and our benevolent AI destroyed half the fleet of starships of our overlords off Ganymede, or somewhere... sheesh.
Battle Without Honor Or Humanity?... ??? no, will have to google.
"second kingsmen movie!"... ditto
Black Country Woman - Led Zeppelin
"Battle Without Honor Or Humanity?" killer... sounds like something out of The Fifth Element or by Agent Provocateur
so does alexa have aliases or are they more cousins of a sort?
am glad you like the tune.
did you find the orchestral version of [I]country roads?[I/]
she's country by Jason aldean.
One can change the names at will... so aliases I guess.
Country roads - enjoyed. I know your streaming is mostly miss but I found this version... https://www.google.com/search?client...id:x08dJQsTG2w
She's Not There - The Zombies
next time im at the library i'll hunt up some of the other orchestral variants and give a listen. the song is used to good effect throughout the movie.
oh no tailor, zombies!!
I saw her standing there by the beatles.
Addendum: One can change the names at will of the four choices Amazon offers.
Good song :)
I'm Still Standing - Sir Elton John
its probably a good bet that most men go mostly with the one with the sexiest female voice?
Elton john plays a good part in the second kingsman movie.
still of the night by whitesnake, no tawny kitaen I think...
lol... nothing sexy in the voices that I can hear.
"tawny kitaen"... Ratt and Whitesnake :)
Dancing in the Moonlight - King Harvest
I love that old 70s pop rock stuff.
moondance by van morrison. can you name the movie that helped popularize the song?
moondance... great song. No; googling... eeeshh, no wonder I didn't know, never saw the movie and will continue not to do so.

The Lady In The Tutti Frutti Hat - Carmen Miranda
I just checked the book and unfortunately there's no index! i'll have to peruse it or read it to see. there IS a photo of him and dan akroyd as the "two wild and crazy guys" Czech brothers.
the Mexican hat dance by herb alpert and the tijuana brass---and im sure from somewhere in looney tunes also.
Let's Face The Music And Dance - Fred Astaire
I confess I didn't know fred Astaire had recorded a song!
the first time ever I saw your face by Roberta flack, a song used to great effect in one of my all time favorite movies x-men: days of future past
Great song by Roberta :)
Yup :) My favorite, also covered brilliantly by Taco, is
Puttin' On The Ritz - Fred Astaire (written by the incomparable Irving Berlin)
I have that...
I have some vague memory of the song being comically used in a movie where the guy singing the chorus cant pronounce it rightly. does that sound familiar?
cat people (putting out fire) by david bowie, from the movie cat people that got me hooked on nastassia kinski.
Young Frankenstein :)
Googling nastassia kinski... names familiar... never seen her films.
I Don't Want to Set the World on Fire - Horace Heidt and His Musical Knights
that's right, thank you. that's what I was vaguely remembering, the musical piece at the end with the monster not being able to enunciate the words!
whatd you think of nastassia kinski?
boy tailor, I never heard of those folks. are you sure they are not a monty python tribute band??
fire by robin Williams doing elmer fudd doing bruce Springsteen!
"kinski" - nope.
"tribute" - lololol !
"Robin" - lol!

Welcome To Paradise - Green Day
welcome to the machine by pink Floyd
saw a laser light show set to pink floyds music during college. it was fantastic.
Saw a laser light show to Dark Side of the Moon at De Anza College, Cupertino circa 1981. I didn't attend the college academically but it was an awesome show :) Come to think about it saw a performance of The Nut Cracker Suite there too :)
Those Magnificent Men in Their Flying Machines - Ron Goodwin's Orchestra
i appreciate the range of your eclecticism tailor---pink Floyd to nutcracker is pretty good.
the magnificent seven by whatever orchestra was hired to do the soundtrack to the movie.
Seven Nation Army - The White Stripes :)
tailor, you might like the live version of that song from the voice by Kimberly nichole.
this is the army mr jones by glenn miller.
... I'll check it out :)
This Is A Rebel Song - Sinéad O'Connor (RIP)
ohhhhh rebel yell by billy idol, one of my favorites!
re: Kimberly Nichole - not bad :)
Big Yellow Taxi - Joni Mitchell
yellow flicker beat by lorde, which is a really nifty song I first heard when watching the hunger games.
Cool song... didn't remember it... a lot better than that Queen Bee thing :)
Turn The Beat Around - Vicki Sue Robinson
