Vodka with Fanta lemon.

I tend to have a weird relationship with alcohol. I can take it or leave it, but when I do drink I tend to binge (EG over Christmas I probably drank the equivalent of a ½ litre of Whisky a day – but didn’t drink for about a month beforehand).
Drinking has become a bit of a crutch for me at the moment and I decided a few days ago that I was going to have a 6 month break because I think it’s important for me to stop (for a while at least) to make sure that the decision to do so is still mine to make.
I don’t want to carry on drinking and get to a point where I either have to stop or can’t. The silly thing is that I actually enjoy not drinking and I think life is too short to waste it on something that only brings short term relief from my problems.
egg salad sandwich
(sorry Scher, didn't feel like shopping after the facial)
A fine barley wine
I am having Elder Betty. It's a beer and it's my third one, and for the first two, I was certain that what I was drinking was Elder Berry. But no, upon closer inspection, it is in fact Elder Betty. The art on the label is pretty awesome. It looks like a tree, but upon closer inspection, you see that the tree has breasts and she is reaching her arms above head and there are all these branches coming out around her. And she has a cauldren there, too. And underneath all that, it says Elderberry Weiss. It is good. :)

I had a curry earlier (chicken jalfrezi), and now am on the cheap Foster's cans as the Euro tournament ends and I try and read some TLS.
Coke Zero & Sugar Free Sherbet Lemons
A cheese, onion and hippy vegan dog sandwich. Damn I could go for a steak.
Lime popsicle
grilled cheese (Sharp cheddar and pesto) and a beer
A sandwich with Liverwurst, mustard and a Banana for desert.
Wine and Twiglets
Earlier I ate a Quorn vegetarian burger with mushrooms accompanied by a couple of glasses of vino reddo. Now I am drinking Leffe beer and enjoying it, but shortly I shall be taking a Jägermeister with Sprite, all in the interests of a good night's sleep.
I am eating a small salad and drinking Pinot Grigio white wine. It's all I can handle after a convivial day spent with some Chinese friends in which the women cooked the usual colossal amount of dishes that are the centrepiece of such gatherings and that are far too much for my minuscule appetite.
hummus and pita bread, yum
The Chinese knowledge of beer is rather poor I'm afraid and that on offer was Carlsberg. They don't appear to know about exotic brews like Golden Hen or Hobgoblin. One girl's father asked if I would like some rice wine but I had some in a Korean restaurant not long ago and once bitten twice shy. Anyhow, if the weather holds out, I'm supposed to be taking a couple of the women on a country walk next week and I will be able to explain to them the delights of a pint of Doombar at a nice little hostelry I know of.
A bagel with oh so much butter, I looove butter
Peach flavoured water with a banana muffin. For dessert a block of Lindt Blueberry dark chocolate.
Diet coke (from a glass bottle - tastes better from one) & vanilla peanut butter soya ice cream
Tikka chicken pasta salad and marshmallows for dessert.
