Ever read Gerald Durrell?
Oh yes he was in our curriculum, Thanks for reminding me of old school memories, I think in Class 7 and Class 8 "A Zoo In My Luggage" read part (when they reached the Boa constrictor) though I think he made a sexist comment concerning the Hippos :( Though the guy is God Blessed Lucky
Have you read Milan Kundera?
Yes.
What's your favorite Alice Cooper song?
Funnily enough I've been listening to Lost in America a lot lately. I used to kind of hate it. Not sure which song is my favorite though.
What's your most played song on your itunes or windows media?
Oh, I'm so old-fashioned that I don;t have such things, just CDs or even (gasp) vinyl!
Would you become vegetarian if a prospective girlfriend/boyfriend asked you to?
Hahahahahahahaha no. If they like me they'll take me for the good, the bad, and the ugly.
Would you change for your spouse? (or have you changed for your spouse?)
Well, I put on a clean vest once! Joking aside, yes, we all have to, although not necessarily in particularly fundamental ways.
Would you go to a concert of a band you hated but she liked?
I already have.... for his birthday.
Do you know how to play any instruments?
I was the worst rock drummer in the world in the worst rock band in the world - we even got booed off the stage at Warwick University in 1971 - and it was a free gig. I only got the job because I'd got the longest hair (and the least talent).
Are you musical?
I guess... I was in a lot of the music programs at school and still play guitar... kind of... badly...
What's your favorite Halloween costume you've worn?
Never worn one, I'm afraid. Hang on - I lie!! I don't do the Hallowe'en bit now, but when I was VERY small my Mum made me an Owl costume, complete with my Dad's Amber night-driving glasses, and crepe feathers. Very vague memory - must have been very nearly 50 years ago!
Do you have any stuffed toys?
One. My dad got it for me the day I was born so it's a little... worn.
Do you?
Unbelievably (I'm 55!) we have a house full, the most significant being a Monkey called Artaxerxes, a glove puppet about 3 feet tall, who speaks English with a Birmingham accent, a Dragon called Dai and another one called Dylan. We have a large stuffed giraffe called Gironwy, a Parrot called Paddy, a Welsh Border Collie called Megan (life size and very realistic) and an small elephant called Nobbdy.
Do you have many childhood photographs?
Well I'm not even out of my teens so yeah... my parents took a lot. Most of them embarrassing.
Since you're 55 and therefore more experienced than I... any words of wisdom?)
"Rules are there for the guidance of the wise, and the blind obedience of fools!" Bst I can come up with - but don't start thinking that wisdom comes with age - there are a lot of old fools out there. I suppose the other one is "Never let anybody tell you that you can't!"
Anyway, if you'll forgive me, I'm ancient and got to go to my truckle bed - I'm up at 5:45tomorrow morning, so I shall leave the world of questions to you who have more energy. Nos da!
