I have always had rough hair. I have tried different shampoos and conditioners. I would love if my hair was silky and nice. Any suggestions from anyone regarding how I can make my hair silky :(
Find a good conditioner. Brushing your hair often with a natural bristle brush helps some as well. For conditioner, I like TresSemme (SP?) Their line seems to work really well for my hair. You may ask your local stylist what they think you should use.:)
Yeah, about the Avon perfume, my grandma always wore a real oldie called "Here's My Heart", when she passed away I was able to have one of her old bottles of this, which I have still (she died in 1983), and it is a real old bottle -- it still holds the same fragrance. Bittersweet.
But I read that a fragrance will maintain and not go 'skunky' if you keep it out of direct sunlight and have the relatively same temps year round. One friend of mine keeps her finer stuff (that be her precious Chanel No.5), in the fridge -- I thought that was going a little far, mind you! :)
my nana has like 50 bottles of perfume that she saves for a ' special day ' but there's never a day that so ' spaecial ' to wear it!
I love Dove's products. They work for me perfectly. I don't really know a good conditioner, the one I use is a local one, you'll probably won't find where you live. But it's great. Its mainly honey and something else, I don't really know what it is..lol
I have very curly, fine hair. The best conditioner I've found is Panteen..they have something for every hair type. I love the way it makes my hair feel.
There's a really good conditioner recipe in my curly girl book, I'll look it up when I'm home.
tut tut I thought you got a home PC now paya still going online in work hours :eek2:
Moisturixing Wrap:
1 ripe Avocado
3-4 teaspoons honey
8-10 drops Almond oil
Peel and core the avocado and mix in blender with other ingredients. Apply to wet hair. Wrap hair in clear plastic wrap or towel and leave on for 20-30 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with warm water.
*Make sure the avocado is ripe and well blended. I was picking avodaco out of my hair for days...
Fruit Smoothie
3 very ripe bananas
1 teaspoon almond oil
1/2 cup carrot juice
Mix all three ingredients in blender. Apply to wet hair wrap in a damp towel and leave for 1/2 hour. Rinse with warm water.
Could we not simply drink those? :D
my hair is terribly thick, frizzy, coarse and weak. Couldnt find a shampoo for years that would help my hair. Camr close a few times but no bananas. Lately i started using Timotes Copper radiance shampoo and conditioner, which contains henna and i stil remember the way it left my hair after the first wash. So nice and soft and slightly calmer.:) I'm taking break from it at the moment, as your not ment to use the same shampoo and conditioner for too long or it can drain your hair.

for those of you with long, thick, curly, coarse, prone to dread locks hair, you must try Matrix Sleek-Look Conditioner. It is amazing. In the States you can get it at Sally Beauty Supply as a Generic version, I don't know about where you might find it 'somewhere invisible in the emerald isle', perhaps online. :)
I can't wait to try these!
forget making banana bread.
Hey thats true! Im pretty sure thats one of the reasons henna is used so widley in the middle east as its good for you hair.
course if you get it wrong you hair can end up a gastly bright orange.
