Salt and vinegar make it almost aristocratic. The trick is in the heat of the oil. Got to be very hot. Too cold and it sucks in the oil. It'll be that that your derriere (wonderful word - sooo ... French) dislikes.

Pumpkin soup with sour cream, Lasagne and steamed vegetables and lastly a beautiful pavlova, topped with plenty of fresh strawberries. (Sweet red wine for the meal of course)

Living in Japan, the food just keeps coming...it is too difficult to choose 3 dishes. But if I was eating western food then maybe...a tomato based starter, followed by either pizza or steak and kidney pie, with chocolate cake for desert. But in truth i'd rather go Japanese
