The Fool - A Nonsense Didactic Cinquain
The fool
Tormented
Dance, rebound, teleport
Bolder than I, perchance ?

an old man from mars
there once was an old man from mars
who longed to visit the stars
so he saved up his shekels
to bleach all of his freckles
and left for M42 with his guitars

Not nonsensical at all!
Poem without rhythm and reason
There once was a guitar
Just a common instrument
That played wonderful Lieder
Her owner was known near and far
To hear him play
People came from afar.
But one day he threw the guitar on the ground
in a fit of temper
Itīs strings broke,
it didnīt emit another sound.
The musician in despair,
Looked for new strings here and there
His house he sold
And sought the strings,
All over the world!
Until he arrived in music land
And found a travelling band.
When the guitar heard the sounds,
mended were its strings
and it started to sing on its own.
The musician joined the band,
They sang from town to town
And for all I know
might still be around.
I like it ! :)... inspired me thus:

Lied - "In Western classical music tradition, lied is a term for setting poetry to classical music to create a piece of polyphonic music." - Wikipedia
he lied, he cried, ever the out-lyre
playing his guitar unstrung as it wept
with his lay, his lieder, his hawaiian slider
we drank his gibson of satriani sweat as
he fret with his strat-o-caster / o-various...
vicarious as if he were the dead in need -
a zombie incarnate as his finger tips bled
pedal to the metal - his biceptual
guns raging in the machine out of focus -
hocus pocus - with a du hast! duality
krokus with your slip knot - a' dios to
a rainbow, a stairway he led us
to a reality of moth eaten overcoats -
smelling of innocence and peppermints

" Exactly! Itīs how it feels today. Enjoyed much. The next poem comes tomorrow, I need to think a bit.
The "du hast duality" escaped me!:)
Translation
If "you" is " "du"
and "Tisch" has a taste of "table"
Why does "happines" dissolve
into "Freude" and "Angst" torment
the German and the English idiom?
The lyrics of languages
hide in the gaps of meaning.
re: du hast! duality: sorry... this refers to some song lyrics by Rammstein where "du hast" is sometimes construed as "du hasst"... https://www.lyricsmode.com/lyrics/r/...anslation.html
"The lyrics of languages hide in the gaps of meaning." - prolly most fitting in this case where the German wordplay is lost in English (evidently)... I think it was meant to be ambiguous. I vaguely remembered the allusion from some time ago.

Re: Thanks for the explanation and the link, tailor, now it makes sense to me:
Ich habe
du has (s) t is a very fitting wordplay, I think now more than ever.
fragrant, wilted flowers for hard times
what flowers are those ?
fragrant flowers, yet wilted
- and some resemble a rose
vitality exceeding their shelf life
marked down to half price :)
I know some local wildlife
who'd think them nice enough

Interesting theme
Hulk, the Bull
big bulk
hard skull,
pulls the wool
in full
over ones eyes.
He feigns a fight
just light.
Despite his spite
he doesnīt quite
at a sight
want to ignite
the place tonight.
He'll rather drink
a bottle of Sprite.
lol... those carbonated drinks will be the end of him, if the rhyme doesn't that is :)
Pet lizard - A Tanka Poem
Oh, my pet lizard
He's scaly and splotchy brown
Has a long forked tongue
Like half a meter long; scares
the bejeebies outta me !

The Bookshelf
Bulky like a gentle big bear
And often as brown.
Its presence warms the hearth
And paves the way to desire.
It patiently carries its load
Of shelved knowledge,
of papered dreams.
It feeds on parallel worlds,
painted with words.
But, while aiming at
a possible immortality
its goods can be destroyed
by the smallest of insects.
Not a nonsense poem in my estimation... enjoyed :)
The Lithe and Voracious...
Whose book is that? Something by Malraux
Its owner is quite unhappy though
Once full of joy when reading - eyes aglow
Now inspects each book quite Thoreau
After giving each book a shake
To see what bugs might be awake
A Book Scorpion - its appearance make
Startling the bibliophile, in horror quake
But as with Aristotle, comes the calm
For Book Scorpions should cause no qualm
And if one should scurry across your psalm
Just relocate it gently with your palm

Charming, but newer saw a book Skorpion in my life.
