Larry around the world! Cont- Uallachán!

After the museum we took a walk up to Millenium Park. Here's Larry walking along in the city:

After seeing the bean, we walked over to State Street where Larry posed in front of the famous Chicago theater sign:

Then it was up to my favorite spot by the river on the Michigan Avenue bridge. Larry by the Wrigley building:

last time I was at the art institute, they wouldn't let me take pictures...I snuck some, of course! I'm pretty sure Larry cheered them up :D

To cap off the day, we went to my favorite place in Chicago for drinks at the top of the Hancock building: 96 floors up with a view commanding the whole city of Chicago. Unfortunately the pics of the view came out fuzzy, but here's what the building looks like from below:

So, that was our day in Chi-Town. Larry's pretty tuckered out right now, but luckily we both have a day to rest before we fly off to California on Monday.

Yeah, I asked before I took any pictures and they said to go ahead as long as I didn't use flash. Since I go up there all the time I had never tried taking pictures of the art before, and was surprised that they were so easy going about it.

I love the pictures in the museum. It is so funny to see Larry in front of various famous works of art! That was a great idea. :)

Aw Petra those pics are wonderful! Now i want to go to Chicago! (wonders if aerlingus still has €199 special offer to chicago.......)

I know, you guys are making me want to visit my friends in NY and Chicago all the more. I can't believe I'm actually missing snow.

I think that when this is finished we should all try to meet up somewhere with larry as a special guest. That would be nice.:)

Hahahahaha! Yay! Look at him! Larry will be quite surprised I'm sure when he comes to California, what with the sunshine and no snow. Is he there now? I can't wait until AdoreroDio gets him so we can take some pictures.

Larry will be quite bored when he comes to Tennessee. :sick: He will be disappointed after seeing New York and Chicago. Maybe I should spare him and have Granny 5 send him on to the next person.

Seriously? I would've liked to have seen how it looks where you live.

I like to see that Larry is really being treated like royalty here! :) I would've enjoyed taking him around town (I live close enough to Chicago - so it would've been a fast trip if he would've arrived here next), but I just didn't think it would've been too much fun for him right now. Some stuff would've been OK to do right now, but there were other places/things that I wanted him to experience here that would've been a lot more fun in the spring/summer. That is why I opted not to participate. Oh, well. :)

Larry and I are headed to California tomorrow, and I'll show him around Orange County and a little of L.A. before he goes up the coast to Ventura. Larry's really excited about the trip and has been helping me pack tonight:

Oh, Shalot, don't take yourself off the list. :( Larry would be so disappointed to miss meeting you in Tennessee, and he'll be so tuckered out from these big cities that he'll be happy to be somewhere less fast paced. Besides, anywhere Larry goes he brings an instant party along with him and, as Lily Adams says, Lit Net togetherness!

I didn't know you were in Illinois, Lady Wentworth. Yes, it's a shame that Larry doesn't get to see the mid-west in the spring.
