:eek: never heard of Armed Forces Day???

i am planning to spend seven hours on a stinky greyhound bus, immediately following an eight hour bartending shift (on a friday night, no less) to get to Calgary to attend a ceremony honoring our Canadian Peacekeepers. they are also opening a new wing to the Museum of the Regiments for them, so its going to be a pretty big deal.
I guess I'll be away for the weekend then....and i wont be able to post....oh.....*sniff sniff* well.....

Ohh. :( You'll be missed, sister! Not that it isn't for a vastly more honorable cause. :D

oh..i dont know about honorable....Em. i wish it were. but i mean come on, how sexy will my honey be, all uniformed and getting a medal..standing at attention while all the crowds worship him???
(i am sending my son back home on Saturday night, to stay with my sister. i am however, staying till tuesday!) ahem....

LOL I didn't even notice myself slipping into my "heh heh that's nice. yes, go military" mode. (You learn to shut up about certain things when your grandfather and two uncles went to Westpoint.) :p I meant something more like, "for a higher cause." Which, I mean... I'm gonna shut up. :D
