Locomotive Breath ~ Jethro Tull
I'm into Tull this morning. This is my all time favorite Tull song. Deserves its lyrics posted.
Quote:
Locomotive Breath
by Jethro Tull
In the shuffling madess
of the locomotive breath,
runs the all-time loser,
headlong to his death.
He feels the piston scraping --
steam breaking on his brow --
old Charlie stole the handle and
the train won't stop going --
no way to slow down.
He sees his children jumping off
at the stations -- one by one.
His woman and his best friend --
in bed and having fun.
He's crawling down the corridor
on his hands and knees --
old Charlie stole the handle and
the train won't stop going --
no way to slow down.
He hears the silence howling --
catches angels as they fall.
And the all-time winner
has got him by the balls.
He picks up Gideons Bible --
open at page one --
old Charlie stole the handle and
the train won't stop going --
no way to slow down.
cool, I went through a Jethro Tull stage back in college. good stuff.

Teeth In The Grass!!! ~ Iron and Wine
I'm digging it Idrilly. thanks oh, musically minded mentor. :p
Idrilly?! I'm not sure how I feel about that name. ;) :p
Teeth in the Grass is another good one! I love all the little sounds on this song, the sound of his fingers moving on the guitar string, that one little thing just adds to the intimacy of the whole thing.
I have my Iron & Wine folder on shuffle so it's moving all over the place, right now it's playing Weary Memory.
It's actually very acoustic and quiet and calming. I even play it as a sort of lullaby at naptime for work. The singer is from Florida, I believe, and his songs are full of that dark, southern sensibility, some of his songs have the same general mood of Faulkner novels, you might even like it. ;)
