so ppl. i m senior at high skol really love serfin' on net n talkin' with frndz online...n math is my favorite subject thought i never made 100 as my semester grade...n i like to know ppl. all over d world n would love to make new frndz..n yea generally ppl. eat to live but me"Live to eat" heh heh..u would know me once u be my frnd..n i love my life..also love my family!!!tht's all..cheers

Hi I am Ellie and I joined yesterday! I am from the UK and I am a nurse, I am married with no children but, we have 3 cats!!!! When I get time to read I like fiction books mainly horror or crime! I enjoy music of all kinds. I don't have much time for hobbies as such but enjoy spending time with my husband and our families including spending time with our niece, nephew and god-daughter! I like fine wines and entertaining friends!:) I am looking forward to spending time on this forum and hope to gain further insights into writers both past and present and wish I knew of this forum when I was at school.

Hello-a short introduction

Hi, my name's Ruth, I'm 16, land live in Reading (40miles from London in England)

I'm quite intimadated by the amount of posts on here, but I'm glad aswell! I was looking for a literature forum and this came up on Google

Ohh, where to start about me...Well, I'm in 6th Form at school, taking Englsih Literature, Theatre Studies, Economics and History for my AS levels. I'm also currently attempting to decide what on earth to do at university!

I love reading, and after my exceptionall inspiring teacher for GCSE, adore Hardy. I also love Orwell, For Whom The Bell Tolls, Terry Pratchett and various other books and authors. Poetry isn't so much my cup of tea, but I adore Havisham by Carrol Ann Duffy, Prayer Before Birth by Louis MacNeice and the T.S.Eliot that I've read. I love going to the theatre-Shakespeare, Brect, Physical theatre pieces, musicals, anything!

Aside from that I also love music; I've had singing lesons for years, sing in a county choir, help run a samba band at school and listen to most genres, though I particaully love Antony and the Johnsons, Kate Bush, Evanescence, Biffy Clyro, System of a Down and Peer Gynt By Greig.

I also play rugby, both for Reading U17's and Berkshire, and belong to an amateur theatre, where we're doing Calamity Jane this year.

The thing which gets to me most is the state of the world; I hate how mush the human race has done to destroy it, and how even now it might be too late to halt the damage. I suppose reading might be considered a form of escapism for me...

I'd love to get really involved on this forum, as you all seem like really interesting people, and just generally I love discussing things I've read and getting tips for items to add to my frowing list of 'want to read'.

Oh, and I apologise in advance for my atrocious spelling-I will try to keep it in check!

Hello everyone, Happy Tuesday!

This is my first time on this site, so let me introduce myself.

I am 22 years old, originally from Romania, moved to Florida when I was a little girl, now I reside in Las Vegas. I feel in love with the classics when I first read Plato in the 6th grade. I am working towards a degree in History and hope to get a Masters in Literature.
