Pigeons are evil, they tempt you by staying on the road as long as possible. They're the real enemy!
And no, I would not, and have not done so in the past, as such, I am responsible for the death of one or two cute little bunnies, but they should not have run accross the road anyway, it's dangerous.

I did eat some pretty disgusting things for the sake of etiquette. But somtimes managed to still almost offend the people when I get in a gagging reflects if something is truly foul. If this is the case, I politely tell them that I appreciate their effort, but I can not eat it. In such a case it is better to be honest then to puke all over the table. Or at least that is my opinion, mabye it is considered a praise in some cultures to puke the food all over the table, I sure hope not.

I would abide by my vegetarianism before fearing any offense toward someone, including by declining ingesting sheep's eyeballs; self-preservation comes before politeness. If the food, however, did not have some kind of animal product, I would at least try to eat it.Quote:

It depends. It's a question I've been asked before, by someone who wished me to go into a foreign culture with them as a missionary. If you refuse to eat with the people, they will never trust you. As it happened, my health failed before I had to make the decision. In that case, I would have. Otherwise, I have been known to say "No thanks."
When someone is different from you in some way that you personally find distasteful but is really up to that person, could you find yourself ever making friends with them?
I think anyone can relate to such a question, or has found himself/herself in a similar predicament. Perhaps not making the best of friends, due to merely appearing so disagreeable, I would at least try to make an acquaintance with the person, and attempt all in my ability to make the situation its best; that, too, would probably require the other person's attempt, however, so a compromise must come from some place.
