The fact that romantic love is so surprising and all-consuming that every person thinks he or she is the first to feel that way.
That is also my explanation for why people insist on writing romance novels even though there's no new story to tell...
What is the best love story (story or novel) you've ever read?
-
hehe.... tricky... don't really read sappy love stories, but i suppose my own life could become one pretty soon...yes..... i too beleive i'm the first to feel that way.. but it's true, honest! Nobody else has a clue! :)
Okay, besides that...
What is żour favourite shade of blue?
-
Probably the blue color the precious stone, lapis. Every time I visit a geology store nearby, I admire the shade.
To the person below me: what are your favorite (if any) and least favorite areas of science, and why?
-
Favorite= I like studying evolution, or Cro-Magnon, etc, because history is one of my strongest points [and science really isn't], and the scientific theory of the first men and women on this earth is about as close to history as you can get in science... or astrology...I've always been fascinated by the sky.
Least Favorite= molecular science...thinking too hard about the structure and function of tiny little units makes me dizzy. ;)
I'm delving my inspiration for this next question, from the delicious Cadbury chocolate I'm eating: best type of candy in the world?
-
Starbursts, or Mike and Ikes, no Red Vines.
Beer or wine?
-
Wine, especially red, such as pinot noir; I have had few kinds of enjoyable beer, Corona as one.
To the person below me: how did you discover this site?
-
Through trying to find an online edition of The Phantom of the Opera.
If you had to be born in another time period, which do you think you would be most suited to?
-
Sometime earlier this century, either 30's or 40's. Maybe even 20's, I like the idea of frequenting speakeasys.
If you could spend a year traveling, all expenses paid, where would you go first?
-
Uninhabited island
Would you spend the whole year traveling or would you visit a few places and stay there for more than a few days at a time?
-
I would choose 30 places and divide up my time between them. You cant get a feel for the soul of a city in just a few days.
What is the best city you have ever visited.
-
The problem with this question is defining the terms "best" and "visited." ;) Haha. I'm going to add "city" to my list of questionable terms and answer: Pompeii. Mmmm. :) If I ought rather to confine myself to a living city, I must confess I find Paris quite wonderful.
An equally dubious question: What is the most exotic place you've ever visited?
-
Internet
As my answer is kinda nonsensical, same question.
-
Hmm, 'exotic' I accept in a few different ways, also considering that I have travelled little. I visited Las Vegas, Nevada once, and thought it exotic in its own way, though I also somewhat disliked the place; the label of the most naturally exotic place I have visited, however, probably belongs to either the Sierra Nevada Mountains or, a small place here in Oregon, called Silver Creek Falls - a hike featuring countless waterfalls.
To the person below me: thinking of travelling, if offered, would you ever travel to space and orbit the Earth?
(I have heard of such future 'vacations')
-
First, I would like travel around the world -not necessarily in 80 days- before venturing a trip to the space.
What is the last programme you watched on TV?
-
Hellboy DVD if that counts.
Have you seen Hellboy? If so, did you like it?
