Nay... I remember when I was a boy in Seattle hearing about people losing fingers with firecrackers/M80's that stuck with me... I've written at least 1-poem about the rocket variety, but I've never really fully embraced them. In one poem I was more mesmerized by some hippies blowing smoke into bubbles at a Stockton, CA venue during the 1967 4th of July spectacle:
crackers and squibs sport as children delight
down by the river this 4th july night
hippies laud the summer of love nearby
blowing smoke into soap bubbles on high
cannonades take charge launching to great heights
then blossoms and spinners emerge like sprites
the finale commands the heavens blaze!
crosettes and willows
vie with strobes, bees, and whistles
fish dart a'glitter

Watch it sometime Bounty... it's a bit slow sometimes but there is a lot of hilarity in it... seen it many times :)
The best war novel I've read is "The Northwest Passage"... a grim read in spots but I enjoyed it... the movie adaptation was decent but nowhere as good as the book. "Battlefield Earth" was good 'cept the movie was terrible. Have reread both many times :)

Nay. Currently I lend books from digital libraries like archive.org and as I am a very slow reader I take care to renew them in time.

Aye... ramen noodles and canned goods, some pasta... usually have plenty of eggs - down to my last 3 eggs due to prices. Got a lot of rain though.
Nay.I know that Fish & Chips is an English classic but here we usually eat them separately. Chips go with almost any food, with rice and beans which is our classic. Friday is the official no meat day, inheritance of Portuguese fasting habits. So people often eat fish on Friday, but not only on this day.
Sleeping longer on Sunday?

Yep... Flood and wind advisories today through tomorrow.
Sunday... nay, choir practice starts at 9am... I'll rarely get more than 5-hours sleep before that... but I will generally nap from 1pm to 4:30pm after church.

nay... when I was younger aye... haven't been in a pool/lake/ocean in years. My favorite pools were indoor/outdoor pools - 1-in Seattle at/near Green Lake and 1-at the Santa Clara Marriott :) Nowadays I would just float on my back blissfully if I found a calm warm pool (not likely).

Nay. Rain is necessary but the storms in SP have become too destructive: entire quarters of the city are flooded, water entering the houses of people and destroying everything, people carried away by the flood, fire brigade having to rescue whole families including pets with inflated rubber boats.

hmm---im retired, so I eat whenever. even when I was working, I would pretty much eat whenever. even when I work now I eat whenever. so in principle, I say aye, but specifically for me, mostly n/a.

Lol! Empty Nester FHE!
Aye. Currently my schedule is very simple: meals three times a day, soapy and news in the evening every day except on Sunday, fitness Tuesdays and Thursdays at noon, phoning on Sunday afternoons. The rest of the time I organize according to activities.

youre making me wonder if there are translated versions of abbott and Costello in brazil danik. or at least with subtitles. they do all sorts of schticks in their movies. some have to do with word play and almost all of them have to do with Costello's naivete.
