And while it is very much a story of today, it is also a myth and Selim is the boy King Aurthur, pulling the sword from the stone; he is Galahad, the pure of heart, searching for the Holy Grail; he is George, slaying the dragon. And director Boyle has given us a story that masterfully weaves together themes of love and loyalty, the high price of survival, hope, fate, and the road not taken. It is a beautiful movie in which to become completely lost. Enjoy.
