And would you do this although the very reason the boss even asked you(he isn't that keen on you) was because of the stellar way you golf?

Nah. If winning is that important to them they'd understand and want to win on their own merit. I would never play golf 'for' a boss - especially one who didn't like me. Which is why I lasted about 5 minutes in the corporate world!

As a would be "fashionista" I would have to say no. But, if they don't like me (and my ex-inlaws didn't, at least not my ex father-in-law ) then they have very poor taste indeed... ;)

No, lies are hurtful for both the persons. I would let him/her time to think if s/he needed some and wait for him/her to call me back. Never looking back in regret, you never know what the future holds.
(By the way, I wish you all the best with your friend dear, just never let your hopes go...).

I've pulled pranks like that before when I worked in a factory, and I always would 'fess up, if the people got hurt or mad. If they could see the joke it remained a good mystery! Hee-hee!

no dear I would not because we only live once and by rescuing your child and showing God's unconditional love , when you are gone he/she will remember and that love will flow thru them and they will do the same for theirs. And I actually did do that twice so I speak from experienc.

Yes, I would, because if it is someone I really like, I want them to be happy. (well,I like everybody to be happy,but you know what I mean...) I think a friendship is about give and take, so I am happy to compromise. Besides, then they will go to a movie with me that I like and perhaps they don't. :)

How far would you go out of your way to please someone, just as a nice gesture to them?

Average. I'll admit I tell people what they want to hear most of the time. I mean, what's the point of making them feel bad if it's too late to go back and fix it? I'll do what I can, but I won't go too far out of my way. Just yesturday, I swallowed down my friend's cake... I could taste chunks of baking soda in it... *shivers* I seriously could feel my stomach churning afterwards, but I ate it all the same, with a smile and compliments afterwards.
