Should children be raised:
Experiencing the hardships and gaining the mental conditioning that comes from being poor or Gaining the early training and the opportunities that come with money?
It depends on the child. There are too many other factors to consider also. Sometimes those hardships can prevent a child from making the same mistakes. For example, if you're raised in a home with alcoholic parents (who are conseqently poor) it can be very sobering when you're humiliated at school because your parents are wasted and smell like cigarettes and booze and you'll take care not to make the same mistakes. I've seen it happen. I've also seen children raised by alcoholics who become alcoholics themselves. Same thing goes for children who are raised in an environment where they're afforded many opportunities...some thrive and some don't. If your parents are so busy working to provide you with those opportunities but they're not home at night with you after school, then you don't get their attention. You've got their money but not their attention. I'm glad I'm not a parent. so many things to consider... So I can't pick one or the other.
