I was a huge Burl Ives fan as a child.
I too enjoy Burl Ives. My folks had at least one Burl Ives album that I recall hearing from time to time and of course who could escape the dulcet tones of Ives each Christmas.Quote:

The comments on this video are worth reading as they hit the nail squarely on the head, especially the one from the poster called 'whenromancewasking.' I feel sorry for the kids who realize that they live in an age of crap but at least they haven't been suckered like the majority and they still have Youtube to remind them that there was a time when singing and music meant just that.

The composer of over 300 titles, he had multiple albums on the Billboard charts during the 1950s, 1960s, 1980s and 1990s.[1] He died of heart failure on February 14, 2011 in New York City, at the age of 91.
