Poet, native place
Hi, I'm looking for a poet who was writing in the 20th or 21st centuries who writes in the English language. One of their prominent themes needs to be their native place / the importance of the native place. It needs to be someone not from Ireland so it can't be Yeats, Kavanagh, Heaney etc. I would greatly appreciate any help!

The first one that occurs to me is Walt Whitman- Leaves of Grass.
There schould be much more.

You might try the American poets William Stafford and Joseph Langland.
-
Try Robert Frost? Or Wallace Stephens?
Simon Armitage too I guess.

Edward Thomas. Though I reckon you have your poet now.
