Romantic versus Lover

Which would you be?
Romance is love or infatuation I am not so sure. A lover however is someone compared to a player no feelings intended.
The deceptive bit about it is that lover derives from love the very word that brings two people together for better or worse.

This is deceiving and we cannot exactly discern one from the other and our definition is dictionary based and if anybody answers is out of the influences he is under and he cannot transcend the peripheries to come up with the real one.
