My Religion

My Religion:



You can join it if you want
For so many have without knowing
A religion of faith in yourself
And of a undeniable love for
A invisible greater power that
You have longed for but has been just
Out of reach.

You ask so many questions
And get no true answers
Because the best we can do
Is a old book of stories
That all that are good for
Is to set morals for our people
To live their lives by.

This book is almost completely outdated
For todays world's situations
And has been altered and remade
In so many ways and cut and folded
The Truth has been bent of this
Ancient book that so many of us love
Into so many different religions.

So many people are so impressionable
That they just take the religion
Their parents and parents before them had
And make it their own without thinking for themselves.

A true religion, my religion is one
Of your own beliefs
Beliefs thought to be right in your own Mind
But keeping in mind the lessons
Of other religions to mold yourself
Into a decent human
That is worth walking the Earth.
