How about some poetry of our own?
I thought since this topic is all about poetry, we should write our own, and that's what this thread is for!
I'll start it off!
It's called Take My Hope
You ask me to watch you save
To watch you save a life,
But really all you’re doing is
Causing the pain and fights.
Tell me something more is here,
Tell me it is true,
But this is what you cannot see
I gave the hope to you.
The windows and doors are all
Open to extent,
But only to those who truly need
The world at the present.
When you’re down and when you’re blue
You know where I am,
So knock on my door at any time,
You can cry until the end.
It doesn’t matter what they think,
Or even what they say,
It’s what you know, what you believe,
That makes you, you, so say
If the world’s against you,
You don’t have to be down,
It’s the world that’s got a problem,
You are not the clown.
You look at the clouds one day,
You think of that one girl,
The one who gave you heart and hope,
The one who’s life unfurled.
So when you see something that’s not,
Not what it really seems,
Take my hope and continue to
Pass on my belief.
