Lost Like This
Lost Like This
Must it be like this?
Nights spent, wasted, gone
The call to the Sorrowful Lake
Each rose in another's hand
What's to come of me?
A trapped beast thirsty
Drooling midnight of poison blood
Needing a gentle petal to touch
Am I not worthy of grace?
The embrace of a love
Uncontrollable desire to give
Yet lost is my rose

Looks like the roses are busy, maybe the beast needs to find a tulip.

Delta40 - Thank you
jersea - I don't want to settle for a tulip, but thank you for your comment.

Maybe I should have suggested a peony; I think the roses are rather prickly. But, I don't mean any disrespect over the sincerity of your piece.

No disrespect taken. Every flower has its flaw, but I would take the pain from the thorns just to hold my dear rose.
