just a fun little piece
Hello everyone. I joined more than a year ago, but had to rejoin due to inactivity. Sorry moderators.
Anyways here's something I wrote in the whee hours of the night. I might make a song out of it.
Source
They said that it wouldn't be right
They said that it wouldn't be right
But I caught it in my plastic cup
Pure, unfiltered light
I tried to refract my friends
I tried to refract my friends
To see them dancing up above my bed
To see their image and their colours blend
I trapped all the light I could find
Between the cracks of below and the sky
I'm a prism/I'm your private prison
I'm a prism/I'm your private prison
In the end there will only be noise
No bars, measures or fancy pedal toys :nopity:
No top 10 hits for you all to enjoy
A low faint piping from the flutes of chaos
Yeah. It was actually pretty fun to write. Can you guess which band I've been listening to for far too often?
Your comments/criticisms are welcome, as is everybody's opinions (Well, excluding people who can't read. Come on. Pick up a book. why haven't you learned to read yet?)

I can't say that I pulled a "theme" or "message" out of this... but I liked the original imagery anyway, and the mood it created. If you put it to music, throw it up on YouTube and share the link, I'd love to hear it!

Thank you very much for your response. Working on the music and will definitely post it once finished.
Thanks again

I wish you could've pasted a link where we can hear it. The lyrics are nice, by the way.
