"The Barretts of Wimpole Street" the role of Elizabeth's stern father, Edward, was not played by Charles Laughton as stated, but by Sir John Gielgud.

"The Barretts of Wimpole Street" the role of Elizabeth's stern father, Edward, was not played by Charles Laughton as stated, but by Sir John Gielgud.
There isn't an error. Charles Laughton did play the father in the1934 film of The Barretts of Wimpole Street, but John Gielgud played him in the remake in 1956.Quote:
